your user page

What's wrong with it? Well, it's a bit silly, for starters, but more seriously, it makes communication with the editor in question (you) a bit difficult (because it makes you look like a drunk teen). WP:User page says, for instance, "Misplaced Pages user pages are not personal homepages, and do not belong to the user. They are part of Misplaced Pages, and exists to make collaboration among editors easier." Collaboration is the key thing here, but the history of your talk page, and how you simply delete others' comments with dismissive remarks, suggests that you don't care about that. Well, go on and enjoy this collaborative project. Drmies (talk) 03:31, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Second warning on civility

It's evident from the redirection of your user page to the Goatse.cx page earlier today that you still have somewhat of a problem acting in ways that are reasonable and constructive with the rest of Misplaced Pages's community.

As I stated earlier - WP:CIVIL is a formal policy here. We expect you to act in a reasonably adult and mature manner here, and to treat other participants with respect. That redirection, on top of your earlier activity, indicates that you still don't really get that.

Again - this is not optional. If you can not or will not participate here in a constructive manner, your time editing Misplaced Pages will come to an unfortunate and rapid close with edit blocks of increasingly long duration, eventually ending in permanent if you persist long enough.

That outcome will not be a win for anyone - you, the project, any other participant. But the damage caused by any participant behaving in an abusive manner is serious enough that blocking and banning people are acceptable and necessary responses at times.

I again urge you to behave in a responsible manner here. If you do want to keep contributing, please take the community seriously, and behave in a reasonable manner going forwards.

Request for Usurpation

Hello, Simon-in-sagamihara. A request has been made at Misplaced Pages:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because you have not used it to edit, and another user would like to use it to edit. Misplaced Pages:Changing username/Usurpations says that any unused username may be usurped if the user is given seven days notice to object and does not do so.

If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).

If you do nothing: the request will be filled after seven days, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time. Kittensandrainbows (talk) 07:58, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes yes, since this is me requesting the usurpation, I naturally don't have a problem with it. Maybe "The old Simon-in-sagamihara" would be a good target name. Simon-in-sagamihara (talk) 08:03, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

blanked page
blanked page

Hi Simon-in-sagamihara (usurped), this is a message from an automated bot, regarding Talk:Plasticization. You blanked the page and, since you are its sole author, FrescoBot has interpreted it as a request for deletion of the page and asked administrators to satisfy the requests per speedy deletion criterion G7. Next time you want a page that you've created deleted, you can explicitly request the deletion by inserting the text {{db-author}}. If you didn't want the page deleted, please remove the {{db-author}} tag from the page and undo your blanking or put some content in the page. Admins are able to recover deleted pages. Please do not contact the bot operator for issues not related with bot's behaviour. To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=FrescoBot}} somewhere on your talk page. -- FrescoBot (msg) 00:31, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

The Men Who Stare At Goatse listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect The Men Who Stare At Goatse. Since you had some involvement with the The Men Who Stare At Goatse redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so.
