Hi -- I saw you'd posted a note to User talk:BaseballBaby about the rotten.com links. I was also planning to delete these links, on the basis of the Misplaced Pages external links policy, which describes the links that should be included in articles. Can you give me some more information about the reasons for the links? Do you believe they conform with the policy, and if so, why? Thanks. Mike Christie 23:04, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think you are looking for any excuse to deep-six links to Rotten.com. Links to Rotten Library articles were added by lots of different users over years. Mindlessly deleting all the links has led to damage. For example, Misplaced Pages's Dead Pool page had a link to Rotten's Dead Pool game, one of the largest Dead Pool games on the net. Go find some other way to spend your time. Jerkcity 02:12, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- No, I'm trying to see if they conform to existing Misplaced Pages policy for external links. You can read that policy at WP:EL. I'm happy to leave them there if they do, but as far as I can tell they don't conform, and there is no reason not to delete them. You can reply here or on my talk page, but without a better argument I expect to start removing ones that don't conform. Mike Christie (talk) 02:16, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigate edit wars. -gadfium 09:33, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
