Dong Hoi is a capital city of Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. It is located at around 17°28′60″N 106°35′60″E / 17.48333°N 106.60000°E / 17.48333; 106.60000 Coordinates: latitude seconds >= 60

{{#coordinates:}}: invalid latitude. The city is located around 500 km South of Ha Noi. It's endowned with beautiful beach of Nhat Le and is home to the World Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park nearby. Dong Hoi city is accessible by road (National Highway 1A, Truong Son Highway) by railway: the Ha Noi - Ho Chi Minh City Railway passes or by air: Dong Hoi Airport. The city provide tourists with several 1 to 3-star hotels, especially the 4-star resort of Sun Spa. Cuisine includes seafoods, hotpots... During Vietnam War, this city was heavily devasted by the bombardments by the US B-52 due to its location near to 17 Parallel.
