Dong Hoi is a capital city of Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. It is located at around 17°28′60″N 106°35′60″E / 17.48333°N 106.60000°E / 17.48333; 106.60000 Coordinates: latitude seconds >= 60

{{#coordinates:}}: invalid latitude. The city is located around 500 km South of Ha Noi. It's endowned with beautiful beach of Nhat Le and is home to the World Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park nearby. Dong Hoi city is accessible by road (National Highway 1A, Truong Son Highway) by railway: the Ha Noi - Ho Chi Minh City Railway passes or by air: Dong Hoi Airport. The city provide tourists with several 1 to 3-star hotels, especially the 4-star resort of Sun Spa. Cuisine includes seafoods, hotpots... During Vietnam War, this city was heavily devasted by the bombardments by the US B-52 due to its location near to 17 Parallel.
