Coral Jeanne Smith (born on January 19, 1979 in San Francisco, California, USA) is one of the seven contestants from the The Real World: Back to New York. She is is of african, french and spanish decent. She is nominally a Muslim but is know to smoke and drink. Coral has attended San Francisco State University where she earned a degree in Finance.
Coral has competed in six challenges and made it to the end of five challenges in all. Because of this, she's earned a venerable reputation on the reality-competition spin-off shows of the Real World and Road Rules. Although she knows and has the ability to make it to the end of the challenges, she's only won one challenge and that was her very first challenge. She won with former enemy, but long-time friend, Mike Mizanin, as her partner. Coral can currently still be found competing on various Real World/Road Rules Challenges in which she has a reputation for being one of the most formidable competitors because of her cunning and compelling persuasiveness. She is charismatic and has a way with getting people on her side whether it's to stay in the competition or gang up on certain individuals that get on her bad side. On the challenges, she's often considered to be one of the stronger negative female competitors which generally consists of Tina Barta, Veronica Portillo, Rachel Robinson, and sometimes Tonya Cooley.
She's had a love-hate relationship with Mike the Miz and was best friends with Nicole Jackson on the Real World 10 in 2001. Although her notoriously spiteful, rancorous, and belligerent attitudes have landed her into many feuds, they're at the same time why she's so entertaining and able to take up most of the camera time. Even though Coral has been known to be vocal, hard-hitting, and more than able to outtalk and intimidate others, she has a softer side as well.
Recent Mission Entitled Fresh Meat
Coral and Evan were dominant, until they were both injured in the early going. Coral busted her knee cap and was unable to continue competing. Coral was reluctant to quit however, but had no choice as decided by program producer's. Coral and Evan, ever unstoppable, won 5 challenges in all. Most likely, them being forced out of the competition gave other teams an opportunity to win.
Personal Info
REALITY TV - It was made out that Coral had a romantic relationship with Abram Boise. On an episode of the MTV After Show, Coral makes it clear that they were never a couple but that MTV has a way of creatively editing and changing facts around for good ratings. She even made a statement that the reason she decided to host "Reality TV Secrets" was because she wasn't being jaded or edited by Bunim Murray or MTV. She says the best way to hear her directly is through the Reality TV secrets DVD. Coral has revealed that she doesn’t participate in any alliances and that the only alliance she ever has going is with cash. She says as opposed to how anything may have looked, she was only friends with Veronica and Rachel. She thinks reality TV is a completely surreal experience and is definitely a lot of fun and financially rewarding. She's made it clear that getting on Reality TV is not a factor of luck, looks, or talent, but knowing what the casting directors want to see and giving it to them.
FRIENDS - In actuality, Coral is only good friends with Abram Boise and nothing more. She is close friends with Mike Mizanin and Veronica Portillo.
