Speedy deletion nomination of Jonny Bruce

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jonny Bruce requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of You Bastard

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on You Bastard, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Misplaced Pages:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Wiktionary Block

I would very much like to know why you felt it necessary to block me on Wiktionary? Even if you are unaware of the reason for my edit, which I feel was completely warranted (something which I will take the time to convince of in here later) labeling what I did vandalism seems like an overreaction. Before I go on, however, I want to point out that I did, in fact, initially give a description for why I made my edit. Unfortunately, before I could finalize my edit I realized I wasn't logged in so I had to go login and redo the edit again, only this time I apparently forgot to enter the reason for my edit before I finalized it. For the record, the edit description read something along the lines of "Removed unnecessary video game trivia."

Now I hope this is enough to convince you that I am not a vandal because now I am going to take the time to convince you why this edit was necessary. I do not know if you read this entry, but the majority of this entry is dedicated to explaining the significance of a nail bat (a fairly common jury-rigged weapon consisting of nails wedged into the sides to create a makeshift spiked club) in the video game Final Fantasy VII. It then goes on to cite various message boards and guides that talk about the weapon's presence within the game. It is for this reason that I edited the entry to remove all references to the video game, making for a more an entry that I feel resembles an entry from a dictionary than it does an entry from a gamer's blog post. I do not think that I need to remind you that Misplaced Pages is not a video game guide, so treating this entry as if it were a page on some gamer fan site just comes off as messy and unprofessional. Are going to start tolerating pop culture fanboys editing various weapon-related entries so that they can note when they have appeared in their favorite movie, TV show, or video game? Because to my knowledge, the admins put their foot down on this particular subject quite some time ago. In all honesty, I think the case could probably be made that this entry should be deleted entirely.

Thank you for time, I hope that my block is lifted soon and that in the future you will inquire about suspicious edits from me personally before resorting to such actions. This was kind of the reason why I decided to log in while making my edit, after all. Feel free to contact me if you have any further concerns that you want to raise about this issue, I will be keeping an eye on my notifications for the foreseeable future. –Nahald (talk) 02:18, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
