Leigh Daniel Avidan (born March 14, 1979), is an American Internet personality, and singer-songwriter. He is mostly known as the co-founder of comedy duo Ninja Sex Party while working alongside Arin Hanson as a co-host to the Let's Play show; Game Grumps. He is also one third of the video game-based comedy music group Starbomb.

Avidan is also known as Dan in his regular life and to his fans of Game Grumps, he is also known as his pseudonym and second personality; Danny Sexbang as an ex-ninja in Ninja Sex Party. Avidan provides the lyrics to each band he's apart of.

Early Life

Dan Avidan was born in Springfield, New Jersey.

Career

College

After graduating in 1997 Avidan pursued business at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. After a while of being in business he dropped out of the class stating it's not what he would've liked to do. In 2003 he took an exchange program opportunity to study flora in the French Alps. He later graduated from Boston University with a currently unknown degree.

Bands

Late in 2003 Avidan joined the band The Northern Hues. He provided lyrics to all the songs on the band's roster. They have 1 self-titled EP together and 1 live album recorded in early 2005 at The World Cafe, in New York. In mid-2005 the band split up for currently unknown reasons. The songs they created as a band are still available online, while most of the band's songs are currently unavailable to the public. Avidan has stated that he doesn't really enjoy the songs from that time, however, the band helped him become more aware of his talent and how to use it.

In the winter of 2006, Avidan teamed up with Peter Lennox to form a band named Skyhill. Avidan provided lyrics for all the songs and together they created 1 full album in the spring of 2007. They toured for a while until they eventually broke up for idea differences. In October of 2015 Avidan and Lennox teamed up again to create a single titled Fireflies.

Avidan joined the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York sometime after parting from Skyhill and there he met current band partner Brian Wecht.

In 2009 Avidan and Wecht formed Ninja Sex Party where they are still currently together. As of 2016 they have 3 full albums and 1 full cover album, while one new album is on the way. Their YouTube Channel currently has almost 800,000 subscribers and almost 94,000,000 views.

Game Grumps

In mid-2013 Jon Jafari left the Internet show Game Grumps and Arin Hanson decided to replace him with Avidan. Avidan has been the co-host of the show ever since, garnering popularity from the show. Their YouTube Channel has just over 3,000,000 subscribers and almost 3,000,000,000 views.

Starbomb

In late 2013 Avidan, Hanson and Wecht teamed up to create a side project band titled Starbomb. The band writes parody songs about video games. They currently have 2 full albums.
