- Rate articles. See Category:Unassessed college football articles or College football articles by quality.
- Create area for "Collaboration of the month" - similar to Misplaced Pages:Texan Collaboration of the Month
- Post {{subst:CFBwelcome}} on Talk pages of users involved in creating and/or editing of college football related articles
- Tag stubs with {{Collegefootball-stub}} or {{Collegefootball-coach-stub}}
- Maintain College football Portal
- Create organizational structure for categories
- Update List of college bowl games to be accurate. For example, Aloha Bowl is listed as defunct, but it is playing this year. See NCAA football bowl games, 2006-07 for list of bowl games this year.
- Add top-level information to Current sports events as it occurs. #1 ranking team games, other notable events.
- Recuit new members by searching Special:Recentchangeslinked/Category:College_football and Special:Recentchangeslinked/Category:College_football_stubs and seeing if anyone not involved with the project has made an edit of one of our designated pages. (See list: Misplaced Pages:WikiProject_College_football#Participants). Look at their talk page, and if they don't have lots of negative things (complaints about edits, vandalism, etc), edit and add {{subst:CFBwelcome}} to the page.
- Finish creating all userboxes for rest of NCAA teams. See NCAA Userboxes Do NOT use logos in the userboxes, they will get removed quickly.
- Fix redlinks for the BCS Championship Game (if I recall correctly, on some pages, the game was listed as "Unamed Bowl Championship Series Title Game" or some other equally wordy name).
