Dublin High School was established in the fall of 1969 as the second high school in Pleasanton, California's Amador Valley High School District and graduated its first senior class in June of 1971. After the incorporation of the City of Dublin in 1981, Dublin High was annexed and combined with the Murray School District (est. 1856) to form the Dublin Unified School District in 1989. Dublin High has been selected a California Distinguished School four times since 1990 (1990, 1992, 1996, and 2003). Notable for its award-winning Irish Guard marching band and color guard, its mascot is the Gael. Currently, its best-known alumni are Ned Yost, manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, Droop-E, Bay Area Hip-Hop producer and rapper, and Justin Peelle, an NFL tight end with the Miami Dolphins.
