Cryptogrammaceae
Cryptogramma crispa
Scientific classification
Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Pteridophyta
Class: Pteridopsida
Order: Pteridales
Family: Cryptogrammaceae
Pic. Serm. 1963
Genera

Cryptogrammaceae is a small family of ferns, which appears to be somewhat isolated from the rest of the Pteridales. This family forms a natural clade that is the most basal to the order. Of these, Llavea is the most basal within the clade.

Based on phylogenetic research, Smith et al. (2006) included Cryptogrammaceae as part of the family Pteridaceae and Christenhusz et al. (2011) listed its three genera in Cryptogrammoideae S.Linds. 2009, one of five subfamilies of Pteridaceae.
