A diagram showing the path of semen during human male ejaculation.
This article is about male ejaculation. For female ejaculation, see Female ejaculation. For the grammatical term, see Ejaculation (grammar).

Ejaculation is the process of ejecting semen from the penis, and is usually accompanied by orgasm as a result of sexual stimulation (which has previously caused an erection). It may also occur spontaneously during sleep (called a nocturnal emission), or due to stimulation of the prostate or, rarely, due to prostatic disease. Anejaculation is the condition of being unable to ejaculate.

About

Impregnation

Normally, an erection is required for the penis to penetrate the vagina, and then ejaculation is required for emission of sperm, which can make a woman pregnant with a baby. However, any fluid that may dribble out of a male's penis when sexually stimulated may contain some sperm, and if any sperm enter a woman's vagina it is possible that she may get pregnant.
