In 1975, he made an address to the United Nations General Assembly, promoting Lyndon LaRouche's proposal for a Third World debt moratorium.
In the late 1970s, he broke with the Forbes Burnham government, and went into exile. He found a position at Rutgers University, and became active in the LaRouche movement until his death in 1993.
