Hin Hua High School (simplified Chinese: 兴华中学; traditional Chinese: 興華中學) is a Chinese Independent High School in Malaysia. The school is located along Persiaran Raja Muda Musa in the southern part of Klang. The school was jointly established in 1947, it is the most famous Chinese independent high school in Klang. Subjects are taught in Mandarin Chinese, English and Malaysian language.

The school has a student population of approx. 3,000 (from Junior 1 to Senior 3). The eClass Learning Platform has been introduced. A ten-storey building with an astronomical observatory (the largest of its kind in the education field of Malaysia) was erected between 2006 and 2007.

Scholarship and Loan Scheme

The school provides financial assist programmes. Students from poor families can apply for financial aid under the following programmes:

  • Waiver in School Fee
  • Waiver in School Fee and Miscellaneous Fee (for top students)
  • Bursaries
  • Textbook Loan
  • Higher Education Loan (Senior Three graduates)

Further studies

The Unified Examination for Chinese Independent Secondary Schools in Malaysia (UEC) certificate has gained the recognition of more than 400 universities worldwide. School graduates have a choice of universities to further their studies.

Holders of the UEC certificate can choose to study in local private universities or colleges. They can attain the certificate of LCCI, ICSA, CIMA, AAT or NCC. They can register for other courses such as the credit transfer or twinning programmes and then complete their studies overseas in one or two years.

They can further their studies in countries, such as the USA, UK, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore and Japan. Holders of the UEC certificate with good results are eligible to study in the National University of Singapore, The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Nanyang University of Science and Technology and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, etc.

School hostel

To encourage students who live afar to receive their education in a Chinese Independent Secondary School, Hin Hua High School has a student's hostel. The hostel houses a counselling room for personal and group counselling and guidance by the wardens aided by school staff from the school counselling department.

Sports and Co-curricular Activities

Hin Hua High School is renowned for having a plethora of activities and sports. There are many co-curricular activities of choice, which are split into three categories: Artistic, Sports and Youth Organizations. There are a large variety of activities for students to choose from and all of them promote teamwork, social skills and other important skillsets. This can contribute to a student's future as these activities provide an important platform for the nurturing of important skillsets.
