The Chennai Tambaram Corpor'ation is a planned corporation to be built by the government of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu to expand the Chennai city limit. In 2011, areas under Ambattur municipality were merged with Chennai Corporation. Tambaram Corporation will act as zone for Greater Chennai Corporation.
Corporation areas
Tambaram corporation will encompass two municipalities Tambaram Sembakkam, four town panchayats in Perungalathur, Peerkankaranai, Madambakkam and Chitlapakkam, and seven village panchayats including census town Mudichur, Medavakkam, panchayat villages Vengaivasal, Agaramthen.
