If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (86.128.4.147) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a new Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Hello, I'm Redrose64. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Highland Main Line, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 18:31, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Have you even looked at Google yet? It's even referred to as Drumochter twice elsewhere within the HML article... 86.128.4.147 (talk) 20:24, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Have you even looked at any reputable texts on railways? Railway features are named by the railways, not by Google. Their spellings need not follow local conventions. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:19, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- First up, Redrose64 is one of the most knowledgeable Misplaced Pages editors on the subject of British Railways and his presence here is an invaluable asset to the project. Now that his head is too big to get out of the door, I'll say that you probably want to drop this, as the average reader should be able to work out where exactly you're talking about, since Gaelic spelling is becoming better known these days. I advise you not to revert, as you might be blocked from editing to prevent a continued dispute. Ritchie333 22:21, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
Blocked from Wiki with an IP address. Yawn. It's clear from the evidence that I have provided, and even provided both spellings, a link to the Misplaced Pages article, the two other spellings already on the page that you're just a club that is not interested in a version other than your own.
The sources are credible, and meet the conditions of Misplaced Pages. Take it to the article talk page if you're that interested, and adamant that you're right. 86.128.4.147 (talk) 22:36, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
