Grange is a suburb of Cork City. Primarily a residential neighbourhood, it is located in County Cork, Ireland.

Grange lies within the Catholic Parish of Frankfield/Grange.

History

Grange had many historic homes, including Grange House, Old Grange House, Grange Erin, Mount Grange and Shamrock Lawn. Many of these were demolished to make way for housing estates in the 1980s and 1990s.

The population of the area increased after these housing estates were built. There were also increases in the volume of traffic in the local community, and double decker buses were introduced to service the increased passenger numbers, with a large amount of the population attending school.

Amenities

Local businesses in the area include SuperValu, Aldi (Douglas), O'Sullivan's Pharmacy, Grange Dry Cleaners, Douglas Credit Union, Boylesports, Grange Dental Practice, Matson's Wine Store, and Dino's (Takeaway).

The area is served by Scoil Nioclais (Catholic) primary school.

Transport

Grange is served by Bus Éireann route 206.
