Pokiri (2007) is a forthcoming high budget Action Tamil film directed by Prabhu Deva. The film stars Vijay and Asin in the lead roles with Prakash Raj, Nassar, Vadivelu and Napolean in critical roles. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Mani Sharma. It is a remake of Mahesh Babu's Pokiri, the Telugu film. Telugu Pokiri is the biggest hit of all time in south india, by grossing Rs.50crore's and with a share of Rs.46.60 crore's by 160th day. Telugu Pokiri celebrated 50 days in 299 centres, 100 days in 200 centres, 175 days in 63 centres and running towards 200 days in morethan 15 centres, This is All time Indian movie record.
