Grange is a suburb of Cork City. Primarily a residential neighbourhood, it is located in County Cork, Ireland.

Grange lies within the Catholic Parish of Frankfield/Grange.

Infrastructure

Grange is served by Bus Éireann route 206.

There have been calls to build a pedestrian and cycle trail through the woods around Vernon Mount, carried by an overbridge across the South Ring Road to Tramore Valley Park.

History

Grange was mostly rural area in the early 20th, Major housing development occurred in the Grange/Frankfield area of Cork from the early 1980s. About a decade later, due to overcrowding in St. Columba’s, the Douglas Parish Church, a decision was taken to build a church-of-ease for the parish in the Grange area. A site for the church was donated by Patrick McCarthy in Curragh Conway South.

Local businesses in the area include outlets of SuperValu, Aldi, Douglas Credit Union, a pharmacy, dry cleaners, betting shop, dental practice, wine store, and fastfood takeaway.

The area is served by Scoil Nioclais (Catholic) primary school.
