Gabrielle Jeanette "Gabbie" Hanna (born February 7, 1991) is an American YouTuber, viner, actress, poet, comedian, and singer-songwriter.

Early life

Hanna was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania and has six siblings, including fellow internet personality Cecelia Hanna.

She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in psychology and communications.

Career

2014–2016: Vine and YouTube

In 2014, she first gained recognition for her comedy on the app Vine, where she managed to accumulate just under five million followers.

In 2014, she also set up her main YouTube channel, The Gabbie Show, which became popular for her 'Storytime' videos. She soon acquired over 4 million subscribers and over 400 million views.

In 2015, she competed and won season 4 of Dance Showdown with Matt Steffanina as her partner.

She also set up a second channel, The Gabbie Vlogs, which has since gained over a million subscribers and 100 million views.

In 2016, Vine was shut down and Hanna moved all of her attention to YouTube.

In late 2016, Hanna joined the lip sync tour Drop the Mic, alongside fellow YouTubers Jack Baran, Ricky Dillon, Chachi Gonzales, and Andrew Lowe.

2017–present: Acting, "Out Loud" and Adultolescence

In 2017, she joined the main cast of Escape the Night as 'the Vaudevillian' and appeared in seven episodes. She had previously had a small role as Lindsey in Laid in America.

Her debut single, "Out Loud", was released on September 6, 2017. Her debut book, Adultolescence, will be released on September 19, 2017. Following the release, Hanna will go on a book tour from September 19 to September 27 in eight locations, including Dallas, Houston and New York City. The single "Out Loud" was inspired by the poetry in Adultolescence. In its first 24 hours on YouTube, the "Out Loud" lyric video collected 1.8 million views. The single made it all the way up to #3 on the US iTunes charts. After the success of Out Loud, Hanna confirmed she would release an album.

In 2017, she joined the social media team of MTV. From that, she hosted backstage for the MTV Video Music Awards in August and will host the revival of Total Request Live in October, with fellow Internet personalities Eva Gutowski and Gigi Gorgeous. Hanna has also been hired to work as a social media correspondent for Taylor Swift.
