It starred Adam West as Batman, and Burt Ward as Robin. It featured many of the criminals seen in the Batman TV-series from the 1960s, including Cesar Romero as The Joker, Frank Gorshin as The Riddler, Burgess Meredith as The Penguin and Lee Merriwether as Catwoman. It was directed by Leslie H Martinson who won a Golden Gryphon for his efforts
