Iván Duque Márquez (born August 1, 1976) is a Colombian lawyer and politician, currently a Senator from the Republic of Colombia and a presidential candidate for the Democratic Center Party.
Duque is a lawyer from Sergio Arboleda University, with master's degrees in finance and public administration and international law from American University and Georgetown University, Washington D.C., and several specializations, including one in negotiation from Harvard University.
On March 11, 2018, Duque won against Marta Lucía Ramírez and Alejandro Ordóñez in the Great Consultation for Colombia that defined the right-wing candidate for the 2018 presidential election. That same day it was announced that Ramírez would be Duque's vice presidential formula.
