Thank you for the wishes, Bhadaniji! I hardly realised a year had passed. But as Robert Frost reminds me through your user page, I have miles and miles to go before I sleep. Cheers!--thunderboltz14:41, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Well here is the justification..For example I went to the Grand Canyon page on wikipedia which is probably the best example of a tourist destination..and in the external links section they have a wikitravel link. That would be very natural because once a visitor has learned more about Grand Canyon at wikipedia he would probably like to get travel related details that he can find at wikitravel. Hence the link and hence the importance. And then if you do the same for the Taj Mahal you would essentially do it for every tourist destination in India. How would you decide to keep it limited? And how does that mean to be promotional in any way? You have not given any justification for that. I dont think wikitravel is promotional, or linking to it being promotional in any way.
Also, Indore at wikitravel is an empty page and so is Taj Mahal at wikitravel. But I still linked it. I presume that would mean that those pages at wikitravel will have to be written at some point in time too, even though they are empty right now. Let me know if I'm wrong. The reason why I started out doing this is becuase it was my first time editing at wikipedia and I thought it would be the easy things to do before going on to do something harder. Its like getting yourself familiar and getting your feet wet. I thought that in the process I would also get familiar with what all the pages look like right now. And please dont think that I would be playing wicked games here, because its my valuable time here before anything else. In any case, I guess you are the admin here and in all seriousness you can decide on what I have written above and let me know if it still needs to be discontinued and that it is not important. Thats not a problem. Let me know what I can do otherwise to be more useful. If need be those links can be removed. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anchitk (talk • contribs) of 29.10.06
For always being nice to your fellow Wikipedians and going that extra mile to be nice (whether it be a simple birthday message or giving out an awardor barnstar), I proudly award you this barnstar. Keep up the great work & best wishes, Jam0110:11, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi Bhadani, thank your for the barnstar. You write:
"Many do not like Indians to maintain India related pages"
It is possible that I have blinders on. I see many India related articles editted by Indians and mostly I do not see remarks suggesting that Indian editors should not be maintaining these articles. I do see that occasionally, but have thought of it as isolated editors, rather than it being widespread or an instiutional problem. Please tell me more.
I had to investigate to learn what the BS on the barn star stood for, i.e. "Back Scratch". The barnstar page says it represents an "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" ethos, causing me to do some soul searching. I sometimes like to think of my actions as being motivated by my duty, rather than by the fruits that I might reap. But your gift has helped me to remember that we are never as noble as our pride would like us to believe. Reminders of the truth are always a gift, even if they are not universally sought after. A sweet gift, such as you have given me should not be the cause of any embarrassment. Your brother, --BostonMA18:36, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi Bhadani. Do not fear that you have offended me, you have not. It is I who should apologize for misunderstanding the meaning of the slogan and causing you to worry. There is a Thanksgiving holiday in the US. It happens less these days, but from time to time I have been invited to dine with friends and feast upon a bird. Although I decline this gift because of my diet, I must still recognize the gift as a gift, made sincerely, and perhaps even with love. I know your gift is genuine, and I tried to accept it as I understood it, and I am sorry that I misunderstood. (misunderstanading based on summary here) Now I owe you a barnstar, and I shall choose one presently. --BostonMA14:07, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi Bhadani, remember me ? We had some correspondence on Holi in March. How are you ? I was inactive on Misplaced Pages for a long time. I intend to be active now and contribute as much as I can. I just joined this project on Maharashtra called Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Maharashtra, as some user New Rock Star had invited me. I will work in that project. But I also want to other projects if they are available. Especially is there any project on Islam or related ? And is there any project on cricket or football or movies ? Can you please provide me the links if projects on these topics exist.
Hi Bhadani, I know that you know about User:Dbachmann's unfortunate remarks against India and Indians. Well, I've found a novel way to make him realise his mistake - "GANDHIGIRI". And that's what I'm doing. Just though, I'd inform you. Bye. Bakar Amin11:11, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
GANDHIGIRI -
GET WELL SOON, DBACHMANN
Dbachmann, your comments on India and Indians showed that you're not mentally healthy. And that's why, from all Indians, these wishes for you to GET WELL SOON and get back to contributing to Misplaced Pages in a great way. Thanks, Bakar Amin11:11, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Kama & Artha are lower Purusharths is a wrong statement.
One could say for deploring Kama & Artha as lower Purusharths. It could have been said, just to make people move to Dharma & Moksha. Lot of Sanyasees try to deplore Kama & Artha, particularly Jain Sadhus try to create hate in the minds of people living family life.
Does one not need money to do one's religious duties or support Sanyasees or Brahmins or religious institutions? Krishna has said in Srimad Bhagawad Geeta that "Kama" is my "Vibhuti." In Hindu doctrines "Kama" is supported confining sexual pleasure with one's wedded spouse in the witness of fire (A form of God), Brahmin and society. Is it possible to conquer "Kama" by any average person? Vishwamitra also sliped. When Krishna declared "Kama" as Krishna's "Vibhuti" who are we to deplore "Kama"? Indian has n' number of Sanyasees. With due respect to Swami Bhaskaranandji, I say that anything said in a particular situation or a context should not be incorporated in an article like Misplaced Pages which shall remain on a public forum for a long long future. Hope everyone will see the damage being done to Hindusim and restrain from continuing with statements deploring 4 pursuits of life. Swadhyayee 14:40, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
