After Japan surrendered, the predecessor of Lejin Chemical Industry Association Lejin was established in 1947. The association initially produced only cosmetics “Lexi Cream”. At the end of the Korean War, his company entered the Korean plastics industry for the first time to develop fragile cosmetic caps. It produces plastic products such as combs, soap boxes, toothbrushes and cutlery, and helps to improve people's living standards. After that, development priorities will shift to emerging electronics industries and cleaning products
In 1954, his company pioneered the development of whitening Lucky toothpaste, and achieved great success. With its own technology, it defeated the US "Colgate toothpaste" and quickly occupied the Korean domestic market. In 1958, in the name of "Golden Electronics Co., Ltd.", the business scope was expanded to the production of household appliances, becoming the first home appliance company in Korea. In 1959, production of telephones, electric fans, toothbrushes, soaps and other products began. Since then, it has been the first to produce radios, televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, converters and many other electronic products. History of LG corporation
LG Corp. established as Rak-Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. in 1947. In 1952, Rak-Hui (pronounced "Lucky", currently LG Chem) became the first South Korean company to enter the plastics industry. As the company expanded its plastics business, it established GoldStar Co. Ltd. (currently LG Electronics Inc.) In 1958, both companies Lucky and GoldStar merged and formed Lucky-GoldStar.
GoldStar produced the first radio in Korea. Many consumer electronics products are sold under the GoldStar brand, while others are not available outside of Korea and are sold under the Lucky brand. The Lucky brand is known for its hygiene products such as soap and HiTi laundry detergent, but the brand is mainly related to Lucky and Perue toothpaste. Even today, LG continues to produce some of these products for the Korean market, such as washing powder. LG Electronics was founded in 1958 and has entered the advanced digital age due to its technical expertise gained through the manufacture of many household appliances. Such as radio and TV.
In 1995, in order to compete better in the Western market, Lucky-GoldStar changed its name to "LG". The company also linked LG's letter to the company's slogan "Life's Good." Since 2009, LG has owned LG.com domain names. LG Electronics has launched a number of new products, applying new technologies in the form of mobile devices and digital TV in the 21st century, and continues to strengthen its position as a global company.
