Virtual Community Event - Gender Equity Report -- Oct 9th at 1555 UTC
What are the most pressing issues currently facing the Wikimedia movement with respect to advancing gender equity? What strategies are effective for closing the gender gap in content and contributors? What work has already been done? Join us for a community presentation on October 9 to hear how 65 prominent leaders of gender equity projects responded to these and other questions. We'll discuss highlights from the recently published report, Advancing Gender Equity: Conversations with movement leaders, share ways that you can support gender equity projects in your communities, and have space for discussion. For an overview of the project, check out the recent blog post! Event logistics:
- Date: Tuesday, October 9, 2018
- Time: 1555-1700 UTC (please join 5 minutes before the hour to allow for troubleshooting technical issues)
- Information about joining the event, along with discussion questions, are posted here.
Hope to see you there! (Sent on behalf of @Alex Wang and Marti Johnson). --Rosiestep (talk) 23:40, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

My username has "pussy" in it and men are attacking me, trying to stop me from editing. Please help me! Pussycontrol (talk) 21:46, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Misplaced Pages is a collabortive environment. Other editors are politely discussing the appropriateness of your username in light of how it may affect your ablility to work collabortively with others. It's hard to see how characterizing that discusson the way you have is done in good faith. Deli nk (talk) 22:26, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Request for an article
Hi everyone, Firstly, is there a place on the project page for article requests? Secondly, if not, I am requesting an article about Women Divers Hall of Fame. Regards Cowdy001 (talk) 19:13, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
- Pbsouthwood - right down your alley, yes? 21:29, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
- Atsme, Cowdy001. Organisations are not my area of expertise. How do we establish notability for this one? I am getting very little coverage on Google. · · · Peter (Southwood) : 05:25, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
- I just did a google search and the first 10 pages revealed sources including American Academy of Underwater Sciences, Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme, California Polytechnic State University, DAN, DEMA, NAUI, PADI, Phycological Society of America, School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, Stony Brook University and TDI/SDI. Most of these sources did have articles on WP. Also, the search results included a number of publications such as Dive Mag, Diver Training, Sport Diver and X-Ray. Therefore, I believe the coverage is good (and better than a lot of articles under the auspices of WikiProject Underwater diving). Regards Cowdy001 (talk) 07:38, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
