The Battle of Menotomy was an action on April 19, 1775 (the opening day of the American Revolutionary War), in what is now Arlington, Massachusetts. It was part of the larger action known as the Battles of Lexington and Concord. British troops retreating from Concord back to Boston were set upon by American militia, and there were casualties on both sides.
