Seth B. Darling

Seth B. Darling is a US scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and the Institute for Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago. He is currently Director of the Advanced Materials for Energy-Water Systems Center (AMEWS). Darling works in the areas of chemistry, nanoscience, materials science, and molecular engineering, and is known for designing advanced membranes and sorbents. He is also a popular science communicator, who has co-authored books on climate change and sustainable water use. Darling also frequently gives talks on water use.

Career and research

Darling first joined Argonne National Laboratory as a Research Fellow in 2002 after he completed his PhD with Steven J. Sibener at the University of Chicago.
