Block
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for calling someone "corrupt and incompetent," which is not acceptable. It doesn't matter if you are correct, you can't be permitted to continue to violate our no personal attacks policy. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Strikes me as a wee bit fascist to say that an admin cannot be called corrupt. But Malik, youre helping certain people succeed here. I wont make it personal so as to avoid the claim I am personally attacking anyone, but you know there are people whose only value brought to Misplaced Pages is trying to remove those who provide actual value (eg you). Im hoping you dont make it easier on them. nableezy - 21:57, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

- Get off this page. You had your pound of flesh by whingeing about NPA after a disastrous piece of undue pov pushing was justly reverted by MS. What you write above is gloating, which is worse than any NPA sledging.
- For the record, at Black Hebrew Israelites. Shabazz has 12 years experience of editing In that time he has made 115,000 contributions to wikipedia, with 274 to that page, and added 31,533 bytes, to an article that now stands at 40,072 bytes. You have been here 3 years, made 7000 edits overall, a mere 7 edit-and-reverts to the same page. The crap you added consisting of the same blob of material, duly reverted.
- Why was MS absolutely spot on in lifting out that trash you added? The material relates to a single incident related to a mere 5 men said to belong to an extremist fringe of the Black Hebrew Israelites. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) stated that fringe was black supremicist. It also said the vast majority of adherents to the movement are neither explicitly violent, antisemitic or racist. So what you were patently doing, out of enmity, spite, sheer ignorance or tastelessness or whatever, was showcasing recent trivia about a handful of fringe people on the fringe of a religious group that has a 130 year plus history by a 7% expansion of the page. WP:Undue, WP:Recentism, together with in-your-face POV pushing about black people who identiy with the Hebrews. Get off this page, to use an euphemism. Gloat elsewhere, perhaps after reading this book, and reflecting that Malik has deep roots in both Jewish and black culture, and is perhaps Misplaced Pages's historically most accomplished guarantor of NPOV in all articles dealing with those highly sensitive areas. - While I think you should be blocked for other attacks, I would not have blocked you for saying an admin is corrupt. I am reminded of my blocking by an admin for saying "you are not an asset to this project." I was blocked by Coffee for saying that. I think admins should be held to a higher standard because they are admins and they should then also be expected to deal with a little bit more simply because they are admins. Granted, you shouldn't be calling them assholes, like you did earlier, but then again, you didn't get blocked for that. Sir Joseph 04:13, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Maybe this is better as an email for my own good, but whatever. Over the years my feelings regarding this place have changed considerably. I used to be angry about how certain things were covered and how certain people played the game to cover it that way. And I used to edit angrily. I like to think Ive mellowed out a bit in my old age, but I think I understand what editing angry feels like. And there are times where I still have a bit of anger, especially with the NoCal socks. Ive been a total asshole to several of the last few socks, and I probably should stop for my own good if we're being honest with each other. The difference here is the source of the anger. Mine was about a subject, yours is more personal. I think Misplaced Pages as a whole owes you an apology. What happened with Brad Dyer aka Bad Dryer aka NoCal100 aka Isarig was fucked. From start to finish that was fucked. I get people not liking how "established editors" have certain advantages, but theres a reason for that. Trust. That after you have established that you are working towards the goals of the project, as best as you can, that people begin to trust you and your judgement. Trust that somebody wouldnt just start calling somebody an asshole for no reason. NoCal knew exactly what he was doing here. I dont think your response was unwarranted, but it did open the door to him being able to pretend to be an aggrieved victim. And everything that followed ignored that a. you had already established that you should at least be trusted enough to hear out, and b. he had not. NoCal knows your Black and Jewish, he knows Im Egyptian and Muslim, he knows Nishidani is smarter and better looking than him. All of these things are established facts, and hell do whatever he needs to use those facts to accomplish his goal. Beyond that, as a minority, several times over, you have to realize the environment youre in. Mostly white, mostly male. Mostly oblivious to what calling a black man boy means. And that is why I completely understand why you responded how you did, but also recognize that it did in fact open the door to everything that followed. That mostly white mostly male body that is the drama boards can understand what "asshole" and "stupid" and "suck my dick" mean. But that they completely ignored the trust you had already built up is what I think an apology is owed for. Sandstein owes you an apology too, at least for that warning. Everything else is standard Sandstein behavior, and Ive told you before I dont agree with corrupt with him. He treats everybody the same. He is as close to a robot in his enforcement decisions as I can imagine. A robot I dont necessarily agree with, but an even-handed one. But, even though these apologies are owed, they are never going to come. Misplaced Pages let one of its worst editors run off one of its best. And its Wikipedias loss in the grand scheme of it. But, if it helps bring you back to where you were with your relationship with Misplaced Pages before that happened, I apologize to you. It does not have to go this way, and if it does, NoCal wins again. And as ever, fuck that dude. nableezy - 04:51, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Sigh. Most experienced editors know that admins are generally untouchable, and criticizing one in a way that clearly violates NPA is asking for a ban/block. Only other admins can try to deal with other admins, unless said admins go completely off the rails. Now, I do think that the original restriction and warning were mostly inappropriate. But replying to them in an appropriate way is (as seen here) not working. Since, after all, if an admin does something inappropriate like this, any punishment he gets (if any) is going to be disproportionate to the non-admin who acts in a similar way. (Case in point: what happened here). And, wearing my 'sociologists' hat, I'll say that this is normal. It's not that Misplaced Pages or our admin corps is particularly corrupt. It is just that it is, like any organization, affected by the iron law of oligarchy. Cheer up, don't let the frustration get to you too much. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:58, 2 June 2019 (UTC) |
