Shahid Nazir (born December 4, 1977, Faisalabad, Punjab) is a Pakistani cricketer who played in 8 Tests and 17 ODIs from 1996 to 2000. His bowling style matches Aaqib Javed who is from Sheikhupura, for whom he is wrongly criticized of taken place of.

In his debut against Zimbabwe at Sheikhupura, he was congratulated by the crowd for his five wickets in the first innings and ironically they also screamed at him for taking their local hero's place.

He is currently a member of the national team, but has been contesting for a spot with Muhammad Sami and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan.

On June 8 2006, he was officially named to the Pakistani squad after injuries to Shoaib Akhtar. Link

Shahid Nazir was selected for the third Test against England at Leeds (August 2006).
