Justin Sun，born in 1990, is a tech entrepreneur, the founder of the cryptocurrency platform TRON and current CEO of BitTorrent. Justin Sun holds an M.A. of East Asia Study from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. of History from Peking University. He is also the former chief representative of the Greater China area of Ripple; founder and CEO of mobile social App Peiwo.

Big Events

(1) In 2017, Justin Sun delivered a keynote speech titled From It to Bit at the World Blockchain Summit. The speech illustrates the history of Internet and how information transmission has evolved from carbon-based to silicon-based. Justin pointed out several advantages of silicon-based information transmission and elucidated the basic principles of web 4.0. Justin believed that human activities will inevitably be more digitalized and silicon-based, and blockchain will accelerate this process, leading a web 4.0 revolution. Justin Sun is a Pump Master for Tron and Bittorrent Cryptocurrency. He has scheduled a lunch with Warren Buffet on 26th July 2019. Later, Justin Sun launched his own project, TRON. According to the TRON white paper, most members on the technical team at TRON come from renowned tech companies such as Alibaba and Tencent.

(2) In late 2017, Justin Sun's alt-coin TRON (TRX) received attention from the crypto-trading and enthusiast group Premium Investments, notable whales being Avaail (Streamer, Rengar), Tower Khanina, and Guy Beahm. Justin Sun's laid out a track of innovation which was appealing to such groups causing its early surge and domination of the cryptocurrency market on available exchanges (Poloniex, Bittrex, Binance). However, the downfall of TRON's price, due to shady TRX management and public distrust, lead to panic within the ranks of Premium Investments. This would lead to their eventual downfall and to the now deceased Tower Khanina to shutdown the Premium Investments project.

(3) On July 24, 2018, Justin Sun, founder of TRON, announced that TRON had acquired BitTorrent along with its affiliated products and would include BitTorrent into the TRON ecosystem, which has since become the biggest decentralized Internet ecosystem in the world. The acquisition of BitTorrent showed TRON's determination of decentralizing the Internet. Now at the center of the birthplace of the 21st century Internet, TRON is committed to give data ownership back the users and build a free, transparent, and decentralized Internet. TRON acquired BitTorrent in July 2018 for $140 million.

Biography

When he was 26, Sun was chosen by Jack Ma to study at Hupan University, he was the only millennial among the first graduates of Hupan University. Besides that, he became the cover figure of Yazhou Zhoukan in 2011; Davos Global Youth Leaders in 2014. 2015 CNTV Most noteworthy new entrepreneur; was named Forbes China 30 Under 30 from 2015 through 2017. Sun was an advisor at Ripple before leaving to found TRON. Sun placed the record-breaking $4.5 million bid to have a private lunch with Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett in June 2019.

(2) In April, 2018, Justin Sun graduated from Hupan University founded by Jack Ma and became one of the first graduates.

(3) On July 24, 2018, Justin Sun announced that TRON had acquired BitTorrent along with its affiliated products and would include BitTorrent into the TRON ecosystem.

(4) On July 30, 2018, TRON launched its virtual machine (VM). The launch was broadcast by Justin Sun in TRON’s Beijing office.

(5) On August 10, 2018, Justin Sun acquired BlockChain.Org, taking the development of blockchain industry to the next level.

(6) On November 21, 2018, TRON announced that Kobe Bryant would be the special guest to its 2019 niTROn Summit.

(7) On November 30, 2018, TRON announced the establishment of its blockchain game foundation and promised that TRON would invest 100 million dollars in the next three years to build a blockchain game ecosystem across the globe.   

(8) On January 23, 2019, Justin Sun was invited to Binance’s Blockchain Week in Singapore and gave a speech. 

(9) On January 29, 2019, the crowdfunding of BTT on Binance Launchpad was completed in only 14 minutes and 41 seconds.
