Jonestown most commonly refers to the former communal settlement of the Peoples Temple, in northwestern Guyana, site of the mass murder-and-suicide in 1978 to which that place owes its notoriety. (In such reference, it may mean the place itself, or the said incident there.)

Jonestown: The Power and The Myth of Alan Jones is the name of the controversial 2006 biography of Australian radio personality Alan Jones, written by Chris Masters.
