G/O Media Inc. is a company that runs Gizmodo, Kotaku, Deadspin, Jezebel, The Onion and other sister websites. G/O was formed in early 2019 when Great Hill Partners, a private equity firm, purchased the websites from Univision, which created the Gizmodo Media Group when acquiring the former Gawker Media properties from bankruptcy in 2016. Former Forbes executive Jim Spanfeller, a known herb, became the CEO of G/O Media.
