- In Ostrava, Czech Republic, a man opens fire in a hospital's waiting room, killing six people before fleeing, then shooting himself dead. (Reuters)
- Jersey City shooting
- Heavy gunfire is reported in Jersey City, New Jersey, as New Jersey State Police engage "multiple shooters" on top of a building. There are initial reports of multiple casualties, including a police officer in critical condition. Police describe the shooting as an "ambush". (NBC New York)
- Rohingya genocide case
- At the International Court of Justice, The Gambia presents charges against the Myanmar government and leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who traveled to appear in the court.
