Daniel Miguel Alves Gomes, commonly known as Danny, (born 7 August 1983, in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Portuguese football (soccer) striker. He currently plays for FC Dynamo Moscow where he signed from Sporting CP.

Born into a Portuguese family, Danny moved to the island of Madeira at a young age. It is here where he developed his football skills in the youth teams of CS Marítimo. Danny made his break-through into the first team at the end of the 2001/02 season, where he scored 5 goals in 20 games for Marítimo. He later signed for Sporting CP for €2.1 million but later returned to Marítimo on loan.

Danny has also made numerous appearances for the Portugal Under 21's team and the senior team at the Summer Olympic Games in Athens, 2004.
