To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Sincerely, --David Tornheim (talk) 10:23, 16 April 2020 (UTC) (Leave me a message)
- Gracias. I put this on my User page, as a reminder :)
April 2020
Hello, I'm Mr.Sarcastic. I noticed that you recently removed content from Euro NCAP without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Hi Mr.Sarcastic I read the references thoroughly. Reference 2 is the only one that mentions the year of foundation is 1997 (https://web.archive.org/web/20120425132146/http://www.fiabrussels.com/en/fia_european_bureau/news/euro_ncaps_standard_set_for_upcoming_electric_and_range-extender_cars.htm). So lets just agree with that. The article has Revamp tag but I will not make any further edit without references (not the press release).JoseMartin(Rubia) (talk) 06:42, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
Amy Bailey (Artist) moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Amy Bailey (Artist), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Misplaced Pages). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Misplaced Pages's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - Got ya! ALthough she is a renouned actress but never made it to the big news. I'll keep it in a draft for a while to find some better sources.JoseMartin(Rubia) (talk) 10:49, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Editing with a possible conflict of interest
Hello JoseMartin(Rubia). The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Misplaced Pages's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Misplaced Pages to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Misplaced Pages is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:JoseMartin(Rubia). The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=JoseMartin(Rubia)|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Template:Z159 SamHolt6 (talk) 11:54, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
