Adam Dutkiewicz is best known as the lead guitarist of American metalcore band Killswitch Engage.

Dutkiewicz is the chief song-writer in Killswitch Engage. Surprisingly, he claims to be interested in pop music rather than heavy metal, citing the Scottish band Travis as one of his favourite artists.

Dutkiewicz attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston, where he graduated with a bass major and a guitar minor. At college he met fellow Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel.

Dutkiewicz was the drummer of Killswitch Engage until the release of its second album, Alive or Just Breathing, when he changed to guitars.
