Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Obama Foundation has been reverted.
Your edit here to Obama Foundation was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/obamafoundation/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 02:27, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Misplaced Pages, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Widr (talk) 06:12, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:
Because I am a beginner to Misplaced Pages and without much knowledge of the English language, I started a page called My Foundation called "Thisarana Arama" and blocked me by putting links in my social media accounts. It's been a few months since that happened. I'm now looking at the details of Misplaced Pages on YouTube and gaining enough knowledge. Please understand my error and kindly request me to unblock it. Thanks!
Decline reason:
Please explain why your username and your edits were inappropriate and tell us what you'd do differently if unblocked. Yamla (talk) 10:41, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I think it was a mistake to put the link in our facebook account. Only later did I realize that it was a mistake. If I had not been blocked, I would have corrected those mistakes and created a new Misplaced Pages page for our non - profit organization. Please understand my mistake, forgive me and kindly give me a chance! Thisarana Arama (talk) 10:58, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- No. That doesn't address your violations of WP:COI, WP:PAID, WP:PROMO, or WP:USERNAME. You won't be unblocked to do this. --Yamla (talk) 11:14, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
If so, I think I do not know the name of my non - profit organization because I created the wikipedia page without much detail. Can you please help me unblock me! Thisarana Arama (talk) 11:30, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- No. We are not going to unblock you until you demonstrate you understand our policies, can explain why your edits were inappropriate, and tell us what you plan to write about instead. Read the policies we've linked you to, because you seem to just be wasting our time at this point. --Yamla (talk) 11:54, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
Now it is clear to me that I have made two mistakes. One is to promote the organization with our website and the second mistake is to use the username as our organization. In fact, both of those mistakes were unintentional. Please Can I change this username? Thisarana Arama (talk) 13:25, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- You aren't listening. Yes, that's part of it but only part of it. Reread WP:COI and WP:PROMO. --Yamla (talk) 13:28, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Requested username:
Usp1988 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)Request reason:
I made two mistakes. One is that I used a wikipedia page to promote our nonprfit organization. The first mistake I made was violating wikipedia rules, which included our website. The second mistake I made was using a username called our company. According to wikipedia rules, a username can only be used by an individual. It should not be an institution name. My account was blocked due to these two mistakes made by me. With that block, I, an amateur at wikipedia, was able to gain knowledge about wikipedia. So I intend to change the username that violated these rules and rejoin wikipedia. Then I will be able to add my knowledge back to wikipedia and return my help for wikipedia pages in our country. I missed that opportunity because of this block of mine. So I kindly request you to approve the new username I suggest and unblock me.Accept reason:
As you agree that you will not edit about your organization or anything related to your conflict of interest, I will remove the block. I might suggest that you use the new user tutorial to learn more about Misplaced Pages(but you are not required to). 331dot (talk) 12:37, 7 November 2020 (UTC)Would you agree to not edit about your organization or anything related to your conflict of interest? What topics will you edit about? 331dot (talk) 10:31, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Yes I agree. Never make that mistake again. I hope to edit information in categories like Artist, Movies. Thisarana Arama (talk) 11:49, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- Usp1988 seems to be taken; please propose something else. 331dot (talk) 12:17, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
