Denmark’s Signe Bro attests, the strong sense of teamwork drew her in and caused her to fall in love with and maintain a passion for the water. "When I was young, my parents wanted me to learn to swim," the Danish National Team member recalls, "I did not like it initially. There was a lot of crying! But the group of friends I've developed through the sport has kept me going."

In 2019, she represented Denmark at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea. She competed in the women's 100 meter freestyle event and she did not advance to compete in the semi-finals. She also competed in two relay events, without winning a medal.
