Founded in 1948 by David Finn and William Ruder, Ruder Finn is a privately held, family-owned communications agency with over 450 employees. The leader in many areas of public relations, Ruder Finn has a strong global presence in healthcare, technology, consumer, interactive, media, arts and culture, and environmental programming.
Originally called Art In Industry, Inc., their first client as Ruder & Finn was Perry Como. His success that year led to other celebrity clients, including Dinah Shore, Frankie Laine, The Mills Brothers, Jack Lemmon and Rosalind Russell.
Clients include Novartis, Travel Alberta, Twinings Tea, glaceau, and Air France.
Since 1978, Ruder Finn has maintained a successful Executive Training Program. The program is well known throughout the public relations industry and is offered three times a year to college graduates who wish to explore a career in public relations. Approximately 20% of Ruder Finn employees have participated in the program to date.
