FYI

FYI, your proposed blurbs are a little off - the reporting isn't that he "paid $750 in taxes each year" but that he paid $750 in 2017, $750 in 2018, and nothing ($0) in 10 of the previous 13 years. And the Times didn't technically release the tax returns themselves; the newspaper obtained the tax return data, and reported on that. Neutrality 01:49, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

@Neutrality: yeah, I'm pretty bad at writing blurbs. I'm a-ok if someone wants to edit them or propose a totally new one. Sixula (talk) 02:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Brooke van Velden. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Requests for history merge. Thank you. @Schwede66: Hi there. I'm sorry 'bout that, I wasn't quite sure what to do. Originally I attempted to do that with my first move of many for new MP's, but then I saw that other's had copy-and-paste moved. I'll follow the specific actions given. Sixula (talk) 20:20, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
I'm dealing with the history merges; no need to post the maintenance templates. Schwede66 20:30, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
@Schwede66: welp. I just tagged all my pages. Anyway, I would suggest going through Misplaced Pages:WikiProject New Zealand/politics/New MPs to make sure the links are better, I've seen other editors do what I did. Sixula (talk) 20:31, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Everyone will get their telling off. Don't worry. Schwede66 20:32, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

MPSs

Hi, please note that members of national parliaments or state level government are almost always included in Misplaced Pages and so should not be speedy deleted, prodded or even taken to AFD except in the most unusual of cases, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 22:16, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

@Atlantic306: Hi there, I CSD' them because they had absolutely no other sources then the election results and were made by the same author who I believe had a template and simply copy pasted each politicans names on it. I also put them to CSD because they hadn't been elected in 40 years. I now see those guidelines that you are referring to and apologize for doing that. I still believe the comments I added on Nabil's talk page were valid other then the CSD. Sixula (talk) 22:56, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
No problem, as per WP:NEXIST it is assumed that national or state level politicians will have extra coverage if not online then offline such as books, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 00:13, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Discussion about First Lady and Second Gentleman-designate titles in infoboxes of Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff

Please join a discussion here regarding whether the terms "First Lady of the United States Designate" and "Second Gentleman of the United States Designate" should be in the infoboxes of Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff, spouses of the president-elect and vice president-elect, respectively. We need to come to a consensus. Thank you for your participation. cookie monster (2020) 755 21:27, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Problematic editor

Hello Sixula, a disruptive user has been adding false made up maps with unreliable sources and made large unsupported reverts to the "Syrian Kurdistan" article.

Every time he does this he claims that you are a moderator and implies that you support his reverts:

Can you please close the RfC and/or tell him to stop using you as a reason for his disruptive reverts? --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 15:27, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

@Supreme Deliciousness: I'm not a moderator, I'm not an admin, and they shouldn't be referring to me as that. I suggest reaching out to him and asking him to stop if you believe something is wrong. I won't wade in to the debate because I feel like this is too far for me. Also I suggest contacting Liv for some resolution. Thanks, Sixula 16:06, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
I know your not a mod, but he is using you as a reason for his edit warring, that why I asked you to just tell him to stop using your name as a reason for his edit warring. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 17:24, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
