Susovan Sonu Roy (born 19 July 1994, in Howrah, West Bengal) is an Indian actor and model. He appeared in television series like Mohor (2020), Kora Pakhi (2020), and Khelaghor (2021).

Life and education

Susovan was born on 19 July 1994. He hails from Howrah and was raised in places such as Guwahati and Kolkata. He was listed in the Dum Dum Motijheel Rabindra Mahavidyalaya school, a part of the West Bengal State University, Kolkata, India.

Career

On graduating from the university in 2016, he picked up a dancing career. As an actor, he began being featured in television series in West Bengal from 2019. His earliest appearance was in the mythological series Anandamoyee Maa, an Aakash Aath channel serial, directed by Debidas Bhattacharya where he played the role of Vaisnav Bhakta. His following starring was in the film series Mohor, where he played the media person, aired on Star Jalsha from 2019 and Disney+ Hotstar. In the soap opera Kora Pakhi, aired on Star Jalsha from 2020 and Disney+ Hotstar, he played the role of a reporter in 90 episodes. He played an antagonist in this series. He then starred in Jamuna Dhaki, a romance drama series aired between 2020 and 2022, first shown on Zee Bangla, and subsequently in ZEE5. Here, he played the role of a neighbour. He was also starred in another Jalsha channel series, Titli. In 2021, he featured in Khelaghor. Susovan has pursued modeling in addition to acting, and has modelled for various regional and national brands such as Holiday Inn Hotel, Dabur, Titan Eye+, Velocity Eyewear, Amazon, Spencer's, Campus Shoes, Big Bazaar, Biotique and Fiama Di Wills.
