Spelling

It appears that the name of this village is derived from Arabic and therefore spelled Manara (as in Arabic) everywhere, including by the village council. However, the Hebraization process turned it into Menara (מְנָרָה), which is not really similar. Which should we use? I actually moved the article before realizing why it was called Manara. -- Ynhockey 15:49, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

English spelling: Menara

The official Hebrew to Latin alphabet transliteration is “Menara”.

For source see the מנרה talk page in Hebrew.

@Ynhockey and Mr.Shoval: Wiki is here to help users. If everybody pronounces and spells the name as Manara, but officially it's Menara, this exact information should be made available in the article, not on the invisible talk-page. Arminden (talk) 10:23, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
