Raul
Hello
First on Roberto Carlos it seems like you are absolutely correct here.
On Raul if you see on this link as you mentioned: https://www.besoccer.com/player/career-path/raul-23347 and you look on the left under "LIST OF CLUBS PLAYED FOR" and you see the 2013/14 season with Real Madrid it says 1 game and 1 goal and if you push the season to see what type of game it says "Friendly" there, link to the game is here: https://www.besoccer.com/match/real-madrid/al-sadd/201445732. It seems that this game is also then counted under the "CAREER SUMMARY" further down on the left and this make it 742 games and 324 goals could this be the reason? Why this game is in the list i do not know since it is a friendly but they also have included som "leyendas" games also i can see under "LIST OF CLUBS PLAYED FOR". I think this maybe was a game which was in Rauls contract when he signed for Al Sadd that they were gone play a game like this do you also think it could be like this?
Best regards.

Andrés Iniesta U15 - Most official appearances' list
Hello
Sorry for late answer have not been active here in christmas but i have no info/ref of this matches from the U15 but did you find out of it i did see that you had found some ref you had put beside the Spain U15 is that correct?
Merry Christmas

A barnstar for you!

Hi Lorry
Thanks for your commitment to research and update the page on the world footballer number of appearances (>1000). Six months ago, I observed the appearance of Tommy Hutchison (my cousin) on the lower ranks and surprised lately his "promotion" through the ranks due to the common miss-spelling at the time. Hence, my adding his photo seemed a fitting accolade. Thanks, Alan Ironchamp (talk) 22:06, 2 February 2022 (UTC) |
František Plánička
Hello
First i have to say that i had never heard about this player before and to be fair to you i have little to no knowledge about him but as far as i can see i agree with what you wrote about him so i have no "objection" let me say it like this.
Bakermannn (talk) 22:49, 09 february 2022 (UTC)
Joao Moutinho
Hello again
If you look at his wp cite here https://en.wikipedia.org/Jo%C3%A3o_Moutinho#Career_statistics he has 810 club games and if you also add all his national team games at all ages in the "info box" i get to 994 games in total so it would mean he is closing in on 1000 games. The club games seems to have refs but maybe not all his national team games. My question is that do you see it like this also, should he be made a "hidden player" or just have him maybe in our thoughts for now?
Regards
Bakermannn (talk) 16:49, 11 february 2022 (UTC)
Just one quick follow up on the games he played for Sporting B in 2003-04 i have this source with 30 games https://www.national-football-teams.com/player/12051/Joao_Moutinho.html but playmakerstats/ogol says 27 games here https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=7608&epoca_id=133&ps=1 which one do you think is correct and should be used or other sources maybe?
Bakermannn (talk) 18:19, 11 february 2022 (UTC)
Hello
In regards to fpf they have 17 and maybe only Besoccer have 23 so maybe the fpf cite be more "trustworthy" and if only Besoccer claims this we should maybe have more sources to corraborate this what do you say? And is there also this diff. between "official friendlies" and "friendlies" and FIFA accepted friendlies and so on? I am not so much into this by the way.

Marcelinho Paraíba
Hello
Just one thing i look forward to debate/feedback on. On the games he played for Rio Branco with NFT as source he has 42 games but only Serie C games. Since you said Ogol is usually more accurate on non european players i see they have a total of 78 games for them so a big diff with 36 games. In season 1995 Ogol has 16 (no details) and NFT has 17 so very close with only 1 game in diff. In season 1996 NFT has 25 in serie C and Ogol has 39 including Serie C and Paulista (here they disagree big on serie C games with NFT 25 and Ogol 14 however if you compare NFT Serie C games with Ogol Paulista games they match perfect with 25 games and 5 goals so could Ogol here have put the wrong numbers on the wrong competition because then NFT and Ogol would match perfect and either way the number of games is still the same in terms of total games)? Since Ogol has 14 games and 16 goals in the Serie C but could be Paulista since it could look trustworthy (i know it is speculation) since it is an "easier" comp. to maybe score in with some very low quality teams and would match NFT also in Serie C games? In 1997 season NFT has 0 games since he went to Sao Paulo before Serie C started but Ogol has 23 games in Paulista. My bottom line question is that should his games maybe be 78 with Ogol and not 42 as NFT has since NFT has only "league" games as Ogol also have his games in the Paulista comp. where he most likely played in 1996 and 1997 before Sao Paulo move?

Rivaldo
Hello
I agree with you it seems very likely that he appeared in more cup games for Olympiacos so i support 101 (43). I was actually also gone ask you about his 36 games for Santa Cruz with ogol as ref. If you look in season 1991 he has 9 games in ogol and 18 games in NFT so 9 games in diff. so my question is should the number 36 have 9 more games to 45 because of the more games in NFT?
Bakermannn (talk) 08:34, 15 february 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I do not know any sources for Brazil u23/U20 but i will tell if i find any. I think i have found a mistake on the games for Sao Paulo i think it is 46 as before and not 47 because if you look at the source you have Besoccer and look under Copa do Brazil it tells 5 games but it seems that the game on 21 of april with 24 minutes played is counted twice so it would mean only 4 games and that match Ogol (https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=1954&competicao_id=260&epoca_id=140) also?
Bakermannn (talk) 21:56, 18 february 2022 (UTC)
Roberto Carlos
Hello
No problem at all i terms of "bring it up again". I agree that NFT is very good on league games and also b and c teams. To take the league games first Anzhi homepage has 25 and NFT and fBref has 29 so 4 games in diff. Just two things i find a bit strange is that number 1 i understand that cup comp. have preliminary rounds but it would seem strange for a league to have it and number 2 if he played maybe the 4 games extra for a B or C team NFT usually have the games in separate lines like Mbappe here as an example https://www.national-football-teams.com/player/67592/Kylian_Mbappe.html in season 2015/16 for Monaco B and Monaco. I would asume that Roberto Carlos would have a line with "Anzhi B/C" for season 2011/12 and not add it on his first team games. And if he played the games in a separate league with a reserve team NFT would maybe not have it in their stats at all. As a suggestion maybe do the same as you did on Fabio on his games for Cruzeiro to add a "note" that "Roberto Carlos possibly have 4 more games according to NFT, fBref and 5 more in terms of ogol++ but it could also be 5 games he played friendly for them according to Anzhi homepage..." what do you think about that since it is difficult to know maybe?
Regards
P.S. A tricky one with Alex i will give an opinion as soon as possibly

David Seaman
Hello
I just have a few things i want to have some feedback/talk about:
TOPIC 1 QPR games: I see that you have used the Ogol/Playmakerstats as ref for his 177 games for QPR. I have maybe found one more game and the game i am talking about is in this tournament here (wp cite) https://en.wikipedia.org/Football_League_Centenary_Trophy and this look like an official tournament do you agree? Here is a source from the game https://www.footballdatabase.eu/en/match/summary/1107373-queens_park_rangers-arsenal but they do not have the lineup for QPR but since David Seaman was the keeper it is maybe likely that he played but it could off course be a reserve keeper or something. Is this something worthy of checking out do you think?
TOPIC 2 Arsenal games: I see that you have 568 games on him with this ref here https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=7142 but also this ref here https://web.archive.org/web/20141110194706/http://www.arsenal.com/history/profiles/607/david-seaman which says 564 games for Arsenal. Refs like this https://www.arsenal.com/history/gunners-greatest-players-7.-david-seaman, https://www.arsenal.com/historic/players/david-seaman, https://arsenalarsenal.net/tag/david-seaman/, https://www.skysports.com/watch/news/9856481/david-seamans-ultimate-arsenal-xi and some more also. Since one of the two refs says 564 games and 564 games is also mentioned many other places and only Soccerbase as far as i could see is the only source with 568 games it could mean that 564 games is the correct number just wanted to debate you on this.
P.S.: I do not have a subscription on this ref here http://www.enfa.co.uk/ do you and if so does it say something about his Arsenal games if it is 564, 568 or something else?
Best regards
Bakermannn (talk) 22:49, 09 february 2022 (UTC)
Thanks again just one more on his games for qpr i want to test with you but this is a "long shot" maybe. Based on Ogol he has 177 games but if you look at this season here https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?grp=1&edicao_id=0&epoca_id=119&eve=&id=1544&op=zoomstats&tpstats=club it looks like he did not play any "League cup" games. That season qpr played these "League cup" games here https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=3226462, https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=3226463 and https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=3226490 but there is no lineup or info on the games. I did not find any other source with lineup or info i only found 2 youtube videos with number 1 with this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOMAV4FarBc were it says in the text that (quote) "pushing a team with England internationals such as David Seaman and Paul Parker to the brink of elimination." and video number 2 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVqQlDIZubQ. My question is that if he played the 3 games it would mean for Ogol 177+3=180 games for Qpr instead but i understand that the video quality is bad and with no "close up" of him but it somehow look like Seaman in a way if you know what i mean and the text to the first video is no ref but still is this worthy to check out do you think? Do you have a better source and know this 3 games if he played or not?
Best regards
Bakermannn (talk) 15:24, 10 february 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I just added the games ogol had on David Seaman personal wp profil to test it but it got a "Undid revision" (link: https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=David_Seaman&oldid=prev&diff=1072820471) and then i looked at this link here which was given (link: https://www.qprnet.com/seasonal-stats---files.html) and here it seems they agree with ENFA so maybe 175 games is the correct one and ogol has some games wrong, just want your take on this?
Regards
Bakermannn (talk) 19:24, 19 february 2022 (UTC)
Hello
It seems that QPR only played 4 games in the fa cup in 1986-87 season so that support ENFA and the link mentioned above from the person who reverted the change on his personal wp page and since ogol do not have details on the some of the games it maybe is 175 games but how much do you rate the page given with the excel files?
Bakermannn (talk) 20:23, 20 february 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I agree that it did not look thourough enough. As in terms of games in the fa cup in 86/87 i would support to go with 4 and not 6 so 180 games instead of 182 games since they did not play 6 games it seems but at the same time i get your point of european ban and regional tournaments i did not know this and did not think about that. In this link as mentioned before https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=David_Seaman&diff=1072820471&oldid=1072786773 it is claimed that quote: "Seaman missed most of 87/88 FA Cup run" i just wonder is there any way to check this out or source or is it probably something this person says in relation to the fan site he gave?
Bakermannn (talk) 09:30, 6 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I am checking him a bit more and found this here. If you look ogol here https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=1544&competicao_id=91&epoca_id=116 it says 4 games in the league cup but if you look here https://en.wikipedia.org/1986%E2%80%9387_Football_League_Cup (they have refs in the bottom like this http://www.rsssf.com/tablese/engleagcuphistfull.html) it seems that QPR only played 3 games before they went out so maybe we should go from 180 to 179 like with the fa cup what do you say?
Bakermannn (talk) 05:12, 8 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I also support the same as with Fabio and Carlos so like i.e 177 then a note with 5 with ref or?
Regards
Bakermannn (talk) 08:53, 8 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I agree with 175 games and a note with ogol for maybe more games. Just would like to show that the keeper you mentioned is credited with all the 4 fa cup games that season even the luton town replay see here https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=229487&competicao_id=97&epoca_id=117 but ENFA is better would you say since ogol seems to "contradict" between nicky johns and seaman?
Bakermannn (talk) 10:49, 8 march 2022 (UTC)
Alex
Hello
After a check (not thourough) it maybe seems to me that ESPN include friendlies also here i have looked at it club by club
Cruzeiro: Here ogol has 123 and ESPN has 121 so i took a comparison against cruzeiropedia here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Alexsandro_de_Souza which says 121 (include 3 amistosos) same as ESPN but it says 118 Oficiais. Cruzeiropedia and ESPN agree with games include friendlies so could that be a reason that ESPN include them since they match perfectly? Maybe ogol also has 5 games to many since they sometimes do not have all the games listed in each comp?
Flamengo: Ogol, ESPN and flaestatstictica link https://flaestatistica.com.br/jogadores/a/alex-1 seems to agree here.
Palmeiras: here ogol has 231 and ESPN has 241 so 10 games in diff. Then i looked here https://www.verdazzo.com.br/jogadores/alex/page/24/ which says 243 games included friendlies and that is close to ESPN only two less but when i took the friendlies away i came to 229 games and only 2 games less than ogol so since it is close to ESPN with friendlies it is maybe included in ESPN here also?
Fenerbache: Since ogol has 346 games, footballdatabase and besoccer has 344 games ( the diff between footballdatabase and besoccer against ogol is 2 games and that is because ogol has 2 CL games more in 2005/06 season which he did not play as you can see here in this game https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=205487 compare to UEFA here https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/match/81748--schalke-vs-fenerbahce/ and this game https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=205488 compare to UEFA here https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/match/81764--fenerbahce-vs-milan/ and you would also notice that ogol has 12 players in both lineups because Alex is there wrongly) and here ESPN has 31 games more which is alot from all the other sources and since the turkish cup also seems to be mentioned also i can see no other than friendlies, pre season games/tournaments or something like that. Maybe it is B or C team matches but i do not know anything about that.
As a bottom line so far after this check (not thourough) it looks to me that since ESPN match more the sources included friendlies games for Brazil teams and as many as 31 games in diff on Fenerbache games i would like to think that ESPN use friendlies in their stats. Look forward to a reply.
Bakermannn (talk) 06:09, 06 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
TOPIC 1 Palmeiras: I tried to check as of now the diff between verdazzo (Palmeiras) and ogol and i found something here. If you look at the season 1998 here on ogol https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=9673&epoca_id=127&ps=1 he has 13 games in paulista and if you look at verdazzo here https://www.verdazzo.com.br/jogadores/alex/page/19/ he has 12 games in paulista so 1 game in diff. Then i looked at this source here http://www.futebol80.com.br/links/times/palmeiras/palmeirasfichas/palmeirasft1998.htm which also says he has 12 games in paulista so then we have futebol80 and verdazzo against ogol for 1 game. Then i looked here on https://www.rsssfbrasil.com/tablessz/sp1998.htm and here it says that Palmeiras only played in 12 games in paulista in 1998 10 games in group stage and 2 in semi finals so based on this it does look like ogol has 1 game to much because it seems impossible that it could be 13 games would you aggree? So 231 minus 1 = 230 games. Then i think i have found the second mistake if you look here ogol https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_seasons.php?id=9673 you see 60 games in 1999 but if you look in the details here https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=9673&epoca_id=128&ps=1 you see only 59 games so it seems they put 60 by mistake instead of 59 as in the details. So then 230 minus 1 = 229 same as verdazzo what do you say?
TOPIC 2 Cruzeiro: I have looked at Cruzeiro also at the 2001 season so far and i have maybe found 3 games that Ogol has wrong and it seems to be the same case as you mentioned with the "Cristiano/Javier Zanetti thing" (quote: "Furthermore, the most common mistake by oGol is in the name or surname"). If you look at these 3 games here game 1: https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=2756366 compare to https://cruzeiropedia.org/Flamengo_3x0_Cruzeiro_-_04/07/2001 and https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=503119 compare to https://cruzeiropedia.org/Cruzeiro_1x2_Atl%C3%A9tico-PR_-_05/08/2001 and https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=503156 compare to https://cruzeiropedia.org/Cruzeiro_0x3_Am%C3%A9rica-MG_-_15/08/2001. On gol they have Alex (Alexsandro de Souza) in all 3 games but Cruzeiropedia has in game 1 this player https://cruzeiropedia.org/Alex_Santos, game 2 and 3 this player https://cruzeiropedia.org/Alexandro_Vieira_Xavier so could it mean that ogol has the wrong "Alex" in this 3 games and so far we have to take ogol 123 games minus 3 games = 120 games as of now?
As a so far bottom line if we for ogol reduce 2 games with Flamengo and 3 games with Cruzeiro it would in relation to what you wrote be 1002 minus 5 = 997 games so far and below 1000 and not add him to the list as of now what do you think?
Bakermannn (talk) 01:17, 08 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
Diff cruzeiropedia and ogol game 1: On Cruzeiro if you look here ogol https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=9673&competicao_id=784&epoca_id=132 it says 12 games with 10 of them listed then i compared it to cruzeiropedia here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Temporada_2003 wich lists 12 games Cruzeiro played in total in Mineiro so ogol has it that he played in all the 12 games but if you look at this game here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Rio_Branco-MG_1x1_Cruzeiro_-_23/02/2003 cruzeiropedia says he did not play so they claim 11 games and not 12 as ogol says but this is also 1 og the 2 games not listed by ogol. The other game not listed by ogol is this here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Nacional-UB_1x2_Cruzeiro_-_26/01/2003 but here both cruzeiropedia and ogol has the same that he played. What do you make of this?
Diff cruzeiropedia and ogol game 2: If you look here ogol https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=9673&competicao_id=784&epoca_id=133 they claim 17 games in Mineiro with 11 listed and if you look here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Temporada_2004 they claim he played in 16 games in mineiro. Since Cruzeiro played in total 17 games in mineiro according to cruzeiropedia the game they claims Alex did not play is this here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Cruzeiro_2x0_Ipatinga_-_28/03/2004.
Bottom line could this also be 2 games ogol has wrong or how do you see this?
Best regards
Bakermannn (talk) 10:24, 08 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
Based on what you wrote i agree not to add him on the list just to keep him in mind if something should surface that would change it.

Bakermannn (talk) 02:31, 09 march 2022 (UTC)
Ze Roberto
Hello
I see that you have added him i just have a few things:
TOPIC 1 games for Real Madrid: On Ogol it says 15 games in 1997-98 but when you look at the season 1997-98 details you only find 12 games (League 6, CL 4 and Supercup 2) so it is 3 games not mentioned so should it not be 21 and not 24 games instead and also sources like this https://www.bdfutbol.com/en/j/j1373.html - https://www.footballdatabase.eu/en/player/details/3300--ze_roberto have 21 games on him? Maybe the 3 games was for Real Madrid B or C team or do you know?
TOPIC 2 games for Al-Gharafa: I see that Ogol has 12 games but footballdatabase here https://www.footballdatabase.eu/en/player/details/3300--ze_roberto, NFT here https://www.national-football-teams.com/player/1017/Ze_Roberto.html and besoccer here https://www.besoccer.com/player/matches/ze-roberto-137863/2012/312 has him on 14 games and 1 goal in the league and since Besoccer has a list of the games as well maybe this is more correct what do you say? I also think he has 4 games in the Emir cup but only found maybe source for 1 game and that is this picture https://www.alamy.com/al-gharafas-ze-roberto-of-brazil-controls-the-ball-during-their-match-against-al-arabi-at-the-emir-cup-soccer-tournament-in-doha-april-27-2012-reutersfadi-al-assaad-qatar-tags-sport-soccer-image377154884.html but do you see it as a good enough source? It would mean 15 games (league 14 and 1 emir cup) and 1 goal in total.
Regards
P.S. Hope for answer on David Seaman QPR games as well
Bakermannn (talk) 04:48, 04 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
Sorry forgot to answer but i agree with you on both TOPIC 1 Real Madrid and TOPIC 2 Al Gharafa.
P.S. No rush just how do you see TOPIC 1 on Alex with regards to Palmeiras.

Hello
Just a quick one in terms of games for Portuguesa. Just a speculation but i see that on ogol they do not have any games in the Paulista for him in 1994 and 1995 but they have many games for him in Serie A. My question is should it be a "note" that he possibly have more games in Paulista these two seasons since it would be very strange if he did not play in any of them but so many in the Serie A those two seasons, what do you think i know it is a speculation?
Regards
Bakermannn (talk) 05:42, 11 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I do not know of any pages for Portuguesa stats at the moment so do not know where we could get it. Just one on his games for santos also. In 2007 season for Santos he has 48 games and 12 goals for Santos in ogol (https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=2603&epoca_id=136&ps=1) then i compared it to this cite here http://acervosantista.com.br/temporada-2007/ which list the games with line ups and so. On Serie A and Libertadores (acervosantista are missing one game in Libertadores actually) the seem to agree. Ogol have just 4 games and 1 goal in Paulista but acervosantista have him in 20 games and 3 goals in Paulista. Then ogol has 29 games and 4 goals under "not defined" category so i was thinking that maybe 16 of the 29 games and 2 of the 4 goals could be the rest of the Paulista games to make it 20 and 3 like acervosantista. However by that logic we still have 29 minus 16 = 13 games and 4 minus 2 = 2 goals not placed in any comp. Bottom line question is that do you agree with this "claim" and since i can only see that Santos played in Paulista, Serie A and Libert. could there be some friendlies in the 13 games and 2 goals and take them away or should we keep them as it is with 48 since it could maybe be B or C team games or something like that just curious and how do you see this acervosantista cite for Santos, what do you think?
Regards
Bakermannn (talk) 12:11, 11 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello i agree we should keep it as it is could be regional cups++. I forgot to say that the reason i did not say copa do Brazil is that rsssf here http://www.rsssf.com/tablesb/brazcup07.html claim that Santos did not participate because if you scroll down you will see this quote: "(Grêmio FBPA , CR Flamengo , São Paulo FC , SC Internacional , Santos FC and Paraná Clube didn't play due to their participation in Copa Libertadores 2007" so would you agree it exclude the copa then but could be others than that?
Bakermannn (talk) 13:39, 11 march 2022 (UTC)
Hello
I agree with 132 as you explained it has to be much closer to the real number even if there is a few friendlies. Also agree with Real Madrid B games so support 24 games.

Robbie James
Hello
I relation to the "Robbie James' appearances for Cardiff City in Welsh competitions are unaccounted for" note i think i have found 6 more games that he played in the Welsh Cup in season 1992-93 that is not on ENFA. It is a forum maybe but take a look at this page here https://cardiffcityforum.com/history/appsl68.htm and here https://cardiffcityforum.com/history/ccfcl68.htm where you on the first link see that he played 55 games in this season all the same games as ENFA but with added 6 more games in the Welsh Cup what do you think about this to change it from 62+ to 68 games?
P.S. I also checked the season 1993-94 here https://cardiffcityforum.com/history/appsl69.htm and here https://cardiffcityforum.com/history/ccfcl69.htm but he did not play in the Welsh Cup this season according to this cite.

Hello
Here is also a list of games Cardiff played in the 1992-93 welsh cup https://web.archive.org/web/20170731161105/http://wfda.co.uk/welsh_cup.php?id=106 which also match 6 games.

Hello
I agree to make it 68 games based on what you said and the refs. Just a quick question/suggestion is it any idea to make it 68+ and add that he could have games in other Welsh cup competitions like the Welsh League Cup (for a B team) or did they maybe not play in that?

Hello
Thanks again for explaining and i agree with you on making 68 games for Cardiff and also agree with the 38 games for Barry Town.

Hello
First i have to say that i have not had the time to look "thorough" what you wrote but i will so this reply is only about the games for Palmeiras because i think that NFT maybe could be wrong here and want to test it with you. NFT says that he played 25 games in the Serie A 1986/87 but Ogol has not one game and if you look at the Verdazzo here https://www.verdazzo.com.br/jogadores/kazu/ which is a cite we have mentioned before and if you also look at this cite here http://www.futebol80.com.br/links/times/palmeiras/palmeirasfichas/palmeirasft1986.htm (look at the bottom for Kazu) they only have him in 3 games for Palmeiras in some "Copa Kirin" which seems like a friendly summer tournament. So if you put NFT with 25 games up against verdazzo, futebol80 and especially ogol not having one single game for him in the Serie A. I mean like Ogol which is usually so good on Brazil players they sometimes have the regional league games and so under "no competition defined" thing but games in the Serie A and when it is such a high number as 25 games they should have them right at least some? So as a bottom line based on this the 25 games looks maybe questionable for me but interesting to know what is your take on this? Should we look for more info, pictures++ to "back up" this 25 games since NFT is the only one i know at least with those games?
Kind regards
Bakermannn (talk) 02:55, 21 may 2022 (UTC)
Hello
First a agree that it has to be something with the 25 games so it is maybe not unthinkable as you mentioned (and since verdazzo and futebol80 only has first team games) that he played them for Palmeiras B/reserve and then as a young player he got the possebility in the Kirin cup for the first team and since the Kirin cup is played in Japan also could have played a part right? So NFT is then correct about the number of games but not correct about them played for the first team in the serie A. Here is one more thing i would like an opinion on:
Games for Santos: In season 1986/87 u see that NFT has 2 games for them in the Serie A and ogol also has 2 games but no specific on competition but they agree so far so good. Then i looked at this cite here http://acervosantista.com.br/temporada-1986/ and this http://acervosantista.com.br/temporada-1987/ (since 2 games in the serie a 1986 was played in 1987 at the top) but they have him in only 1 paulista game this season and 0 games in the serie a so only 1 official game for him instead of 2. However they have him in one friendly game here http://acervosantista.com.br/26-03-1986-chivas-guadalajara-0-x-1-santos-amistoso/ so they also have him in 2 games in total. So in short: NFT 2 games serie a, ogol 2 games no comp. mentioned and acervosantista in 1 paulista game, 1 friendly game but 0 serie a games so it is like does ogol match the 2 games from NFT (which is strange since they should have mentioned Serie A) or the 2 games from acervosantista which would mean that 1 friendly is also counted?
Then in season 1990 ogol has 18 paulista games but acervosantista have him in 24 paulista games here http://acervosantista.com.br/temporada-1990/ so 6 games in diff but non of them have serie a games. The thing is that NFT (serie A) and IFFHS has him in 11 games (could be B/reserve again?) but that is maybe strange since he played 18 of 22 games in japan league in 1990/91 so was he not already in Japan when the Serie A season started?
P.S. I also agree with 23 games for Genoa. I wonder why IFFHS has so few games in total it seems they are missing several hundred games?
Best regards

Hello
I am with you on what you wrote about "not bigg diff between friendly/competitive and sometimes friendly more competitive...". and also about 253 games for Verdy/Yomiuri. So to try and sum up how many games will it be for these clubs:
Santos: for season 1986/87 2 games from NFT, ogol and iffhs + one game in paulista here http://acervosantista.com.br/09-04-1986-juventus-1-x-0-santos-campeonato-paulista/ so 3 games in total in 1986/87? Then season 1990 11 games from NFT and IFFHS in Serie A (a bit strange that ogol do not have serie A games and not acervosantista either but nonetheless?) + 18 paulista games in ogol + another 7 games in paulista from acervosantista (not ogol) here http://acervosantista.com.br/18-04-1990-bragantino-2-x-0-santos-campeonato-paulista/ - http://acervosantista.com.br/25-04-1990-santos-3-x-2-inter-de-limeira-campeonato-paulista/ - http://acervosantista.com.br/07-05-1990-santos-1-x-0-guarani-campeonato-paulista/ - http://acervosantista.com.br/05-07-1990-bragantino-2-x-0-santos-campeonato-paulista/ - http://acervosantista.com.br/15-07-1990-santos-1-x-3-corinthians-campeonato-paulista/ - http://acervosantista.com.br/18-07-1990-botafogo-sp-1-x-1-santos-campeonato-paulista/ - http://acervosantista.com.br/21-07-1990-santos-2-x-1-ituano-campeonato-paulista/ so 11+18+7=36 games in 1990? So 3+36= 39 games in total?
Coritiba: ogol with 59 games?
Palmeiras: with 25 games from iffhs and nft? (it is also a bit strange that possible cup/regional++ matches since not Palmeiras B is in the nft stats maybe?)
CRB Maceió (AL): ogol and nft 4 games? (However it says in NFT this was in 1987/88 in serie B but i found this writing here https://pt.wikipedia.org/Campeonato_Brasileiro_de_Futebol_de_1987#Outra_divis%C3%A3o in portughese which says there was no serie b this season and the comp. Módulo Branco which CRB was in instead is not recognised by the CBF++ so what do you think?)

Hello
- Santos
In the list we have him with 13 games for Santos like here in ogol https://www.playmakerstats.com/player_results.php?id=4620&epoca_id=123&ps=1 they have him with 6 games in the serie A. But from acervo santista i found this game here http://acervosantista.com.br/31-08-1994-bahia-2-x-1-santos-campeonato-brasileiro/ where it says that he came on for a player who was also substituted in before in the match so since ogol do not have him playing here https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=522586 maybe because of the reason mentioned. But do you think that based on this we should take him to 14 games (7 in bandeirantes and 7 in serie a) based on acervo santista?
Awaiting for reply...

Fabio
Hello yes i remember they had one game in diff from 2005 to 2021 and the game in question is this game here from the serie a 2011. If you look here from ogol https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=1652583 they have fabio in goal but here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Santos_1x0_Cruzeiro_-_10/09/2011 they have rafael in goal but i think ogol maybe wrong here? Look here http://acervosantista.com.br/10-09-2011-santos-1-x-0-cruzeiro-campeonato-brasileiro/ they agree with rafael in goal and also this link here https://www.altomfotball.no/element.do?cmd=match&matchId=555412&tournamentId=1970&seasonId=333&useFullUrl=false and finally this https://www.besoccer.com/match/santos-fc/cruzeiro-belo-horizonte/2011142925/lineups which also claim rafael to be in goal so i concluded that Fabio did not play this game so that was the reason ogol had one more game what do you think about this?

Hello
Just a quick supplement in relation to "there is a lot of information supporting that he definitely didn't play in that match... by the way, Cruzeiropedia has pre-match info explaining he won't be available for the match" if you also look at the match played before here https://cruzeiropedia.org/Cruzeiro_1x2_Fluminense_-_07/09/2011 and here https://www.playmakerstats.com/jogo.php?id=1652577 Fabio is is taken off for Rafael so probably injured and not ready the next game with Santos right?
Cruzeiropedia as you mentioned they have now 953 official games but they have gone from 21 amistosos to 23 amistosos so it seems that 2 games is "moved" from official to friendlies instead since the total number are the same right? Which games and how this happened i have no clue because like in the 900 games article we found him under competitions with 19 amistosos and 2 games in the Torneio de Verão (Uruguai) which made it 21 and then gave a "match" to cruzeiropedia back then.
Awaiting reply...

Kazuyoshi Miura the Sequel
Hello!
Sorry for the little late reply just tried and look thourough thru it all.
- 253 Tokyo Verdy, as we concluded --------agree 100 %
- 23 Genoa, as we concluded----------------agree 100 %
- 39 Santos, if you verified 25 for Paulista in 1990-------agree (first i checked at Acervo Santista all the paulista games that ogol did not have and i counted 7 but now it is 6 since ogol changed from 18 to 19 in the mean time and then i cross checked all the 18 at the time games ogol had to see if they agreed with Acervo Santista and they did so therefore 7+18 wich is now 19+6=25 so i hope i counted correct but welcome to check if you will to make sure)
(I have a little concern about the 11 games 1990 in serie A with Santos also from NFT/IFFHS i just would like to mention because from his japan wp cite here https://ja.wikipedia.org/%E4%B8%89%E6%B5%A6%E7%9F%A5%E8%89%AF says he made his debut 28 october 1990 against NKK in the japan league so if you take the games in Acervo Santista he could possible play in 15 games in serie a since the game 15 was played 27 october 1990 so he could have made 11 in theory off course but i tried and checked the teams Santos played against that i could here sao paolo (rsssf), palmeiras (verdazzo/futebol80) cruzeiro (cruzeiropedia) and gremio (gremiopedia) but i did not find him there either so he must then have played in the 11 remaining games but i think it is a little strange that non of them and Acervo Santista and ogol does not have him in any serie a games in 1990 before moving to japan that year what do you think?)
- 59 Curitiba ------agree (In relation to the 44 games i also found this cite here http://www.historiadocoritiba.com.br/Atletas and "search for Miura in nome" they also have 44 games and 6 goals so what do you think about adding this as well and what do you think of the cite seems to be some history thing?... )
- 25 Palmeiras, -----------agree (What do you think about this cite here also http://www.futebol80.com.br/links/times/palmeiras/palmeirasfichas/palmeirasft1986.htm which also claim 3 games in kirin cup i mean about the source seriousness and about adding it as well in the note with verdazzo?)
- 4 CRB Maceió, ------agree (Here i found something from rsssf with this link https://rsssfbrasil.com/tablesae/br2camp.htm and if you look a bit down u see in 1986 and 1987 it says "not disputed" with more info at the bottom from second division does this clarify anything more u think i am not sure?)
- ? CA Juventus (SP) – -----------agree 100 %
- ? Japan's younger national teams – ------agree 100 % (maybe because him playing in Brazil he did not play for u teams in Japan but this is just a speculation off course)
P.S. My main concern i also the Palmeiras thing but adding note i think we cover the basis i just would like you look at these links here https://acervosantosfc.com/kazu-19861990/ - https://copadomundo.uol.com.br/2010/selecoes/japao/idolos/kazu-miura/ - https://www.folhar.com.br/relembre-a-historia-de-kazu-o-1o-japones-que-jogou-no-palmeiras/ - when translated they say something about that he went to Palmeiras to play in the Kirin cup because it was in Japan so was that the "specific" reason and not anything else? Could also the 25 games be in some u 23 or u 21 something because of his age i mean does any such team have their own serie A or something do you know like "in England style"?

The latest addition
Hello
- Sydney
– You have maybe checked this but in relation to the +1 game to make it 7 instead of 6 i thought about the cup but in this italian wp cite here https://it.wikipedia.org/FFA_Cup under "Storia" they mention a cup called and i quote "A-League Pre-Season Challange Cup" that came in 2005 but since it was played in the pre season Miura was still in japan right so that is out of the question agree?
- Curitiba
– In relation to the "Apps list from Portugal" it could well be what you said.
- CRB Maceió
– Yes, that page from RSSSF would suffice as a ref in the according note for me... or do you think we need also another one?-----------No for me as a ref i think that is enough since it is the rsssf but if we find more sources we could add them off course.
- Santos
– In regards to the sentence you wrote "– AcervoSantos giving 35 matches instead of 39 should also be mentioned/included in the note" and since we previously in AcervoSantos have him in 1 paulista in 1986 + 25 paulista in 1990 = 26 in total so then 35-26=9 games left i checked all the friendlies in the 2 seasons and found the remaining 9 games which i can mention here by dates so you can check. Season 1986 dates: 26/03 - 08/06 - 11/06 and season 1990: 26/05 - 28/05 - 03/06 - 08/06 - 10/06 - 08/07. Just thought that it is worth to mention in the note that 9 of the 35 games is friendlies and 26 are official from the AcervoSantos page yes?
P.S. In relation and supplement to his career and especially from 1990 in japan to present i think that his italian wp cite here https://it.wikipedia.org/Kazuyoshi_Miura#Presenze_e_reti_nei_club gives a very good and easy overview about the games in all diff. competitions and they agree with what we have found about total games and they also agree with ogol in the period from "japan 1990 to present". They also agree with what you said in the text regarding Yokohama FC and about the season 2011 (you wrote 2010 but it was a typo?) with 31 games.

Matsubara, XV de Jaú & CRB
Hello!
- XV de Jaú
– First i have to say that xv did not patricipate in the serie a in 1988 look here https://www.rsssfbrasil.com/tablesae/br1988.htm and i think that ogol and nft agree here with 25 games for xv because the 14 games and 1 goal in the serie a in 1988 is played with curitiba and not xv. When you look at ogol (playmakerstats for me) into "details" of the 14 games (game list) it is curitiba. So for year 1988 i think ogol in "details" should have had 39 games in the total (not only the 25 for xv) and then sepparated the 14 serie a games for curitiba so it was 25 left for xv in the "Sem Competição Definida" (agree with nft and match the list of seasons/years in ogol for him) and not only 11 as it is now. So to conclude based on this i think that to use 25 games since ogol and nft agree is ok since they match and since the 14 serie a games is played with curitiba what do you say?
- Matsubara
– It was a "tricky" one but based on what you said is it maybe a solution to give him 5 games and then add a note which says "he most likely played in more games for Matsubara in https://rsssfbrasil.com/tablessz/tbs1986.htm but it is unclear how many games he played.....+++" or something like this what do you say? It maybe seems it is taken from only one game where these players here (Saulino), (Gilberto) and (Tico) came on as subs right? Seems strange to me that the exact same players came on as subs for the exact same players every match (or how many) if you know what i mean? So maybe for me to give him 5 games with note since we have a kind of a lineup for maybe 1 game in rsssf but we do not know which game right?
- CRB Maceió (AL)
– I do not have any fan base cite or something for this club so do not know any sources for games for this club but if i find something i will tell off course.
P.S. I agree with adding him on the list and with the necessary notes i think we cover the basis so if we later or somebody know something more about stuff it is there.
look forward to reply...

Hello!
First "off topic" i want to mention in advance i have maybe 1 more game for the player marcelinho paraiba and will send it to you as soon as possible.
- XV de Jaú
I agree with what you wrote with 25+ games and 2+ goals.
- Matsubara
I agree with the 6+ games and 1+ goals.
- Santos
Agree with adding the 4 games you found.
- CRB
Agree with the 4 games here also.
P.S. As with the palmeiras 25 and 11 santos in 1990 and the 4+ matches you found for Santos at a junior tournament is it then an idea to mention this in a note that they where probably or something played with a u team equivalent to b/reserve teams since it is not with the a team and some would see all the games was with the a team since it is listed under the club name?
Kind regards

Hello
Yes i agree 100 % with adding those 2 games and i support to use gremiopedia since it is like the cruzeiropedia++ and looks thourough with lineups and so on. Could it be possible that he never played for that Juventus team at all maybe what do you think?
P.S. Just one small remark in relation to your writing here "and he doesn't appear in the 2nd match the match is from 9 january 2022 so off course you ment the replay in 1985 just want to ask that you had that checked?
Kind regards

Hello
First i want to say that i have nothing to add or to disagree with so this is just a question. In advance i want to say that if this is in any way difficult, takes to much time etc etc you just say so because i will fully understand it in every way so no problem and it is only for "pure personal interest" about his career. I just wonder since there is no wp profile on him with "career statistics" with clubs and appart from NFT having his league games i have not found anywhere where it is possible to see his games/goals for each comp. in each season so i just wonder does ENFA gave that at least for the british teams and is it in any way possible to get an "archive" version of that or something like this or is it not possible because of "subscription required" and so on or any other possible way to be able to see it? Do you also know of any other cite that has his career statistics in a more detailed way also?
Kind regards

Hello
I just have a question since the games/tournament was in one day, if you look at the wp article here https://pt.wikipedia.org/Torneio_In%C3%ADcio_Paulista and then look under "Regras" it says that the games was 20 minutes (2x10) and the final was 60 minutes (2x30). Just wonder if this differ from what you said as an example on Fabio about the Primera liga 2016 here "these matches were played under rules and regulations of official matches, e.g. with referees of an according level, in an according condition of field, according number of substitutes' limit, et c." since the time is not 90 minutes games what do you think? Just want to say that acervo santista does not have this game either.
P.S. I agree with what you wrote in the note about Fabio regarding CBF, Primera liga 2016++
Best regards

Hello
I just wonder can i ask you one quick "off topic" question about one game for another player? The question i have is about John Aldridge (Liverpool player) and i just wonder when he played for Newport County in season 1983/84 they played one game in this cup here https://en.wikipedia.org/1983%E2%80%9384_Associate_Members%27_Cup (the game is in first round and southern section) against Bristol Rovers when they lost 1-0 on 28 february 1984 and i just wonder if John Aldridge did play in this game and if it is in ENFA?
Kind regards

Vivian
I detected my addition of Vivian Woodward in the List of men's footballers with 50 or more international goals was received very enthusiastically by you. In the last few weeks I have created the List of international goals scored by Sándor Kocsis, List of international goals scored by Imre Schlosser, List of international goals scored by Poul Nielsen and now List of international goals scored by Vivian Woodward only because I feel like footballers from the early 20th century suffer from neglect and lack of interest (while Kocsis just straight-out deserved it). My main account (Clenixon) is for big edits while this one is for smaller edits.
Anyways... even though RSSSF states Vivian scored 75 goals (29 for England and 46 for Amateurs), most English sources claim it's 73 goals (29 for England and 44 for Amateurs). I even went through that in the List of international goals scored by Vivian Woodward. But yeah... it looks like Kocsis will have to share his European spot with Vivian at 75. Archiving Sources
Hello, again my old friend. I came here to ask you if you know how to archive sources/references? Just like you did at List of footballers who achieved hat-trick records. Barr Theo (talk) 15:40, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
Léo Júnior
Hello! long time :-)
I took a look against flaestatistica for his Flamengo games and i found a few things i want to test with you and i did it season by season wise.
1974: Here ogol has 11 games and so has flaestatistica and they agree on 8 games in carioca but the other 3 games ogol has "not defined thing" and flaestat. has 3 games as friendlies which could maybe be the same games what do you think? Bottom line it would mean "minus 3 games" from 11 to 8 "official" games this season?
1975: Here ogol and flaest. agree on 79 games but again ogol has 43 games in "not defined thing" and flaest. of the 79 games has 24 games as friendlies so then 79-24=55 "official games this season?
1976: Here again ogol and flaest. agree on 66 games but again flaest. here has 28 games as "amistoso" so then 66-28=38 "official" games this season?
We can off course check more but as a first impresion (in 3 seasons 55 friendlies) it seems that alot of friendlies is counted in ogol under the "not defined thing" so i just want to ask
do you agree with this comparison of ogol and flaest. since they agree on total games (incl. friend.)? To see if we single out friendlies does he have enough games to reach 1000
"official" games together with the games in italy and national team?
P.S. could this be a bit like the thing with djalma santos when he was on the list?

Hello!
Yes i agree and i also just want to add that in relation to what you said here: "...and without searching extensively online for some tournaments (torneio...) which I couldn't find in the friendly tournaments,..." i seems to me that flaestatistica does mention if a game is a friendly or not if you go into the details of the game like this here as an example for TORNEIO QUADRANGULAR DE GOIÁS with this link https://flaestatistica.com.br/jogos/flamengo-selecao-de-goias-12-03-1975 you will see in the middle of the screen it says (Torneio Amistoso Nacional) and this would mean a friendly right? I found the same for other games as well.

Gareth Bale
Hello,
I reviewed the last matchs of Gareth Bale with Los Angeles FC and I saw that he played in 2022 Leagues Cup Showcase (source here : https://www.transfermarkt.com/gareth-bale/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/39381/plus/0/verein/51828). I know you know a lot of competition in the world and how to categorize them, in your opinion is it a real competition ? Does this (only) match count in his total ? The winner could appear in concacaf champions league but in 2022, that was only a showcase due to congestion fixture (world cup in december maybe).
I precise that I change the french version of Gareth Bale wikipedia here : https://fr.wikipedia.org/Gareth_Bale#Statistiques_d%C3%A9taill%C3%A9es
