Information icon Hello, I'm Utcursch. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Indian campaign of Alexander the Great, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. utcursch | talk 14:14, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

"Own work"

Uploading a photo that you stole from Facebook doesn't translate to it being your "own work", as per your assertion at File:Vicky Kauushal.jpg. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations seriously. Just because you find something on the internet doesn't mean it belongs to you or that you can use it freely. Don't do this again. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:45, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Okay then should I give credit to the author? I will edit credit thanks NILABH SHIVAM (talk) 07:15, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

I wouldn't mess with copyrighted content if I were you. Copyright policy and laws are complicated and you're bound to get them wrong unless you have a full comprehension of the rules. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:37, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Discretionary sanctions notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to KP Sharma Oli—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 06:55, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
