Please do not revert the edit to Shaheen Lakhan. See Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not; particularly:
- A personal homepage and/or file storage area. Wikipedians have their own personal pages, but they are used for working on the encyclopedia. If you're looking to make a personal webpage unrelated to encyclopedia work, there are many free homepage providers on the Internet. If you upload files, please upload only files that pertain to encyclopedia articles; anything else will be deleted.
- A genealogical or biographical dictionary. Biography articles should only be given for people with some sort of achievement. A good measure of achievement is whether someone has been featured in several external sources.
Sorry, but you are simply not famous enough to warrant inclusion in a generally read encyclopedia. A Google search for your name returns 15 results! In comparison, an AltaVista search for my own name (Google can't handle umlauts properly) returns 1112 results, mostly about myself. Yet there is no article about me.
What we can do is redirect the page from the article namespace to your user page, where you can put any information you like. We have done this with other not-so-famous Wikipedians as well, including Misplaced Pages founders Larry Sanger and Jimbo Wales. But if you insist on keeping it in the article namespace, it will likely end up being deleted.
In general, the right thing to do is to wait until someone else writes an article about you.--Eloquence 05:34 20 Jul 2003 (UTC)
Look, we welcome original contributions from you, but if you're only trying to get as many references to your name into Misplaced Pages as possible, you will be met with quite strong resistance. --Eloquence 05:38 20 Jul 2003 (UTC)
