The 1785 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on 30 November 1785 in order to elect the Governor of Virginia. Incumbent Governor of Virginia Patrick Henry won re-election in the Virginia General Assembly as he ran unopposed.

General election

On election day, 30 November 1785, Patrick Henry easily won re-election as he ran unopposed. Henry was sworn in for his 5th term on 1 December 1785.
