Regional elections were held in 2012 in eleven federal subjects of Russia, first on 4 March, and then on 14 October. These were the first elections where governors were elected since 2005.
Gubernatorial elections
Main article: 2012 Russian gubernatorial electionsGubernatorial elections in Amur, Belgorod, Bryansk, Novgorod and Ryazan were held on 14 October. In all five regions, United Russia won with at least 64% of the vote.
