The 2022 Flint, Michigan mayoral election was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the mayor of the city of Flint, Michigan. The primary was held on August 8, 2022. Incumbent mayor Sheldon Neeley was re-elected with 53% of the vote.

Campaign

For a candidate to be on the ballot, they had to submit the signatures of 600 registered Flint voters. The first candidate to announce his campaign was former city councilman, Maurice Davis, who ran as a supporter of President Donald Trump and focused his campaign on gun violence.

Results

Neeley and Weaver won the primary, with 48.8% and 40.1% of the vote respectively, while Mays lagged behind with 11.1%. Neeley defeated Weaver in the runoff, where he secured 53% of the vote.
