Allegations
In January 2025, President-Elect Donald Trump called on California governor Gavin Newsom to resign, attributing blame to Newsom for the shortages of water.
Various celebrities blamed officials of the City of Los Angeles for not providing sufficient resources and personnel to assist people trying to escape.
