Abdaal Bela (born 14 December 1956) is an Urdu-language fiction writer from Pakistan.

Early life

Abdaal Bela was born in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan, to Ch. Fazal Din. His parents migrated from Ludhiana, British India, and settled in Lahore after the partition of 1947. Bela completed his schooling and college education from Government College Lahore. He pursued higher education at Government College Lahore and later graduated with an MBBS degree from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad.

Professional career

After completing his medical degree, Abdaal Bela began his career as a Captain in the Pakistan Army Medical Corps. His career included serving in the Saudi Army and later in the Pakistan Navy, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to service.

In 1997, he furthered his education by earning a Master of Science degree in Hospital Administration from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. His career in the Pakistan Army culminated in his retirement as a Colonel in 2007, during which he held the position of Deputy Director at the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
