Akshimrau (also known as Akshynyrau (Kazakh: Ақшымырау, Aqşymyrau, اقشىمىراۋ)) is a town in the Mangystau Region of southwest Kazakhstan. It lies at an altitude of 6 m (20 ft) below sea level.
